It did remind me of "Song for the Lonely" when you get to the chorus... also when she sings "tonight yeah baby", I got a Donna Summer vibe all of a fuckin' sudden lol

It's OK. I like it more than the first two singles, but that's not saying much. |

Gaga listens to a lot of old music (older artist) that’s the positive thing I get out of it.

She apparently likes to watch old films in the '80s too.

Nothing earth-moving, but a fun '80s throwback. Best off BTW so far. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I like it, sounds like a solid album track, but it doesn't strike me as a likely choice for a single.

I JUST REALIZED WHAT THIS SONG REMINDED ME OF:

get the hell outta here man, I mean it: GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE
I do admit, though, that the song is clearly inspired by 86-88 female hard-rock/pop [Edited 5/9/11 15:15pm]

Dude you know it reminded you of that one Vixen song. And Vixen had better material.

@Babybugz, yeah I'm just starting to see this info about "Hair" being released to iTunes next week.

So far everything about the album has a VERY strong '80s vibe. From the bad cover to the songs itself (so far). EOG is slightly better than both BTW and Judas...but that's not really saying much.

Yes very Springsteen & i like the sax in it! fun song that would have fit in the 80's perfectly Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

I tried listening to this as well which surprised myself because I usually dont give artists like this a chance but even still I still didnt like the song. I dont quite understand the attraction with her either. All she does is swagger jack the whole 80's decade, Madonna, Elton, Boy George x 2000 and her music is nothing diffferent...just ok

Honey, stop talking and just create the music.

This album is going to be an Acquire taste (which she already is for most right) and I like 80’s stuff just the songs are underwhelming for me if I don’t like hair either I’m just going to give up That HBO concert brung out a little of my inner stan so i'll deal with it

Yeah lol I read some of the lyrics of "Americano"...and it didn't make sense. "Government Hooker" has a nice intro (if the intro is as identical as the remixed version I heard). But...yeah lol
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Eh Americano I would have to hear the album version and those little monsters eat that up though so she wins in the end Honestly I was more excited about J.lo's Hypnotico which she wrote she should have kept it for herself.

the org is doing strange things with my posts but yeah @Timmy: This is Edge of a Broken Heart all day. [Edited 5/9/11 16:34pm] This is what you want...This is what you get.

Finally! A decent single from GaGa! I knew she had it in her. It is definitely a 80's throw back which makes it a great pop song and by adding sax man Clarence makes it excellent!
This should have been the first single cause the other two suck!!! The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Wow... The song isn't bad at all, but THE SAX SOLO SUCKS HARD!!!!

Cheese Fest. It's an 80s montage soundtrack.
Man this chick is quickly overexposing herself. She better becareful. Fickle fans and the press will knock her off that pedestal soon enough. I'm with you on this Timmy. I knew she ripped it off. This was too good to be true.
I've been tryin' so hard to like Lady Gaga. Aside from "Just Dance", I really can't feel her. I give up... The salvation of man is through love and in love. - Dr. V. Frankl

Gosh, I had such high hopes for this album. It was in fact the album I was most looking forward to, beyond the new cd from bjork, beck, radiohead, chad vangaalen en prince. lol. Anyway, as much as I loved everything from the fame and the monster discs, including the live performances, the videos, the weird antics and the overall look, I hate everything I have seen and heard from this album so far, including the live performances, the look and everything else. Those first two singles were just very bad reinventions of early 90s german techno. Absolutely horrible. This song is slightly better but still miles below what we have come to expect since the fame/monster. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

This is going to become this year's soundtrack to every cheerleading/gymnastics/figure skating/etc. competition . . . similar to how Muse's "Uprising" was used last year in EVERYTHING.
