TTD !!! Theres an interview with Terence Trent D'Arby in Februarys Issue of Record Collector Magazine!!
From what eye can make out from the interview it looks like The Wildcard could b coming out on general worldwide release!! About time!!! | |

He got called out on a Brit Awards preview, they played him off as a wacky weirdo past winner, with him talking of his namechange to Sananda with "time edit" screens used to make it look like he was waffling on. Then it cut to Justin Timberlake who said "Ok, OK! Damn man, your making me glad I'm too young to remember the 80s!". | |

Just because Prince lied about the reasons for his name change doesn't mean Sananda is not 100% serious about his "reincarnation" as he calls it. I can assure you he is. He even told in interviews that he knew people would ridicule him because they had it all before with Prince, but that he didn't have a choice. Sananda's name change cannot be compared to Prince's, no matter how much it reminds us of Prince in the 1st moment. TTD has nothing to gain from a namechange, it would gain him less attention if anything as nobody recognises the new persona. I respect his right to do so yet out of habit refer to him as TTD, when he uses the "Sananda Maitreya" name on all his releases I'll change my ways. On my CD liner notes after his live show he gave a signature of "TTD" one side and "Sananda" the other... | |
