Watched the premier last night. I know what you mean about the SOTT influence.

Not to mention that she's using MJ's stage "toasters" in the show, along with his patented statuesque, tension-builder poses (ala Dangerous Tour) at the beginning.

Oh and her "Jesus" guitarist sucks surprisingly bad... just had to say that.

when i went to the show, i thought the same thing.

its kind of SOTT meets blonde ambition (which was totally influenced by lovesexy) = awesome

im not sure if the excitement thru as well on tv....but in person it was one of the best shows i have ever seen....the monsters were going crazy and you couldnt help but have a great time...

she is extraordinarily talented.... and whether people say she copies or whatever... she puts it together REALLy well... the costumes, the choreography, the sets, the songs and her great voice.. and the IDEAS.. at LEAST she has ideas... its not just a robot up there going thru the motions with a bunch of cliches....

even though i dont love the album version, a highlight for me is speechless.. her voice just sounds so clear... and we really get to see how talented she is...

anyway, the show is great...

THE ONLY TIME I WASNT BORED WAS WHEN SHE WAS TALKING.

i was just checking her out to see what the fuss was. she definetly has "IT". but i found it kind of boring.

maybe she does need to lip synch because by her trying to conserve her energy it looked lackluster lol

sorry. cant believe im recommending lipsynching

OMG I said just that to Ron. I was like, folk constantly compare her to Madonna (understandably) but this concert is much more Prince.

I enjoyed it.

I thought it took a little bit to "pick up" but there were a lot of great moments. LOVED the "living" dress thing giggle and "Teeth". Loved the little Liza in the audience thing. lol

Her vocals are clearly a lot stronger when not doing a big dance number, but I'm not hatin cause my ass wouldn't be able to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star after going up and down the stairs a few times.

Overall I thought she had some very strong moments vocally and I was entertained.

I think it's funny that in the beginning intro, they make her getting a coffee dramatic.

I really liked the performance of the new track "You and I".

The show totally reminded me of a Prince show. She even preaches Prince's old message of acceptance. All she needed to do was break into a version of "Uptown".

She is real talent if you ask me.

But, having said that, the biggest difference between her show and a Prince show is that 99.9% of Prince's music is better live. Where as her live stuff is just more of the same. Not much musically was added to the live version's.

If you have Time Warner, it may be on HBO On Demand.

I think the biggest difference is that Prince can perform/dance/sing in an intense primal way, even stripped down. Lady Gaga seems to go by a more routine choreography based high budget show. If you had Prince as a homeless guy on a street corner doing music and dance for change, and Lady Gaga doing the same, I think Prince would come across as the guy you would more likely give a quarter to.

I checked it out and was so bored I actually flipped over to The Apprentice a couple of times.

The guitar solo she was supposedly playing was very much Prince like.

It may have been great live but sucked on HBO

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

^ I think her best moment in that concert was when she plays the piano and sings her heart out. I definitely dug her live performance of "You & I". That was the best moment of the show to me.

I always seem to get bored with her piano these days but that is where her talent is at so I agree I don’t like that song that much either sadly but it’s catchy .She enjoys herself more when her piano is involved I think eventually she’s going to stop being extra and just do that.

Just watched this on the DVR and came here to post "Madonna does Sign O the Times".

I don't mind Lady Gaga, but 3 songs in I am throughly underwhelmed.

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Well then I think Janet Jackson will have a class action lawsuit on her hands soon.
