Because she can. And you will deal.
Seriously, it's because that demo leaked has been getting radio play ALL WEEK LONG. They've had to push this single up an entire month. It was originally going to hit radio May 16th. o_O iSnatch, iRead, iDrag. For Beysus and in general. Simple. |

Probably. I still can't believe they're goin with this as the first single though. It's incredibly weak. I remember people complaining about Deja Vu but it was never as terrible as this.
Maybe we all have to see the video? |

I never understood why, Deja Vu is a good song and had a late 70's Jacksons/MJ vibe to it |

Deja Vu had a nice groove. If I remember correctly, a lot of people hated the song/video because of 1. Jay-Z was it (again). 2. People were also hating her "wild" dancing in the video. I'm really curious to see, if this song will simply blow up because it's "Beyonce's New Song" or not.

I wouldn't be surprised if neither song topped the charts, I'm shocked Gaga hasn't stayed on top of Itunes like BTW did, and I like Girls, but I don't think it has mass appeal. 2012: The Queen Returns |

Born This Way was #1 because the hype was MASSIVE. it was her first new song in about a year and people went crazy. Now that the hype for her has gone down, it's just kind of cream.

Her appeal and talent are unquestionable, but this track is horrid. She has nearly perfected the art of butchering everything she sings. |

And Adele's already taken the number-one spot from Gaga on iTunes with "Rolling in the Deep". Isn't that song now a top 20 hit @ Adele? That song's a potential Grammy nominee for Best Pop Solo Vocal Performance (as it's called now ). |

Why didn't they show the whole thing where she grabbed the horse's tail and put it on her head? "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page |

It's a great song with a great message. It is not simply because the last single was released in April 2010. Gaga could stop releasing singles for 5 years and she would still get bucketloads of airplay. |

Um..."Run the World" isn't even in the top 5 on iTunes...it's currently no. 7. Adele's at #1, Gaga's at #4.

PS. I like Beyonce, but other than the drumline, this song isn't very good. Brace yourself

Gaga and Beyonce's singles are both flopping.
Noticeably absent from the top 10 on Digital Songs are two closely-watched singles from two divas with highly-anticipated albums on the way. First is Lady Gaga's "Judas," which descends 6-19 in its third week on the chart with 81,000 (down 48%). "Judas" is the second offering from Gaga's third studio release, "Born This Way," due out May 23. Secondly, Beyoncé's "Run the World (Girls)" slips 23-39 with 47,000 (down 39%) in its second week on the tally. It's the lead single from B's fourth as-yet-untitled solo album, expected later this year. (Billboard)
19 15 LADY GAGA Judas 4948 4471 477 31.131
-2 spins -172 bullet -0.375 Audience
44 41 BEYONCE Run The World (Girls) 1043 759 284 5.193
+60 Spins -42 Bullet +0.137 Audience
Bee should just drop 'Run...' all together and move on to #2. There's no interest in it. It's bombing worse than Christina's 'Not Myself Tonight.' It's not even Top 40 yet and almost out of the Top 100 on I-Tunes.

I disagree and here is why: since all of you heard the snippet of her other song, it's looks like this is the sound of her album because both songs are pretty similar(Drum beats, polyrhythmic, african tribal). So unless she has a song that is "guaranteed" to be commercially successful then putting out another single is stupid and it is giving the sign that she's not confident in her music which is never a good look.
As I said, the song is now 2 weeks old and don't have even have a video for it. In fact, looking at Gaga's #s her spins are starting to decrease and Bey's are increasing(and have been increasing for the most part even as the AI was going to down) and the only reason the AI isn't high is because of the rollover which I explained in another thread and also because it's in different format(it's doing great on Rhythmic believe it or not and it's doing good on Urban) for right now. Bey should not even think to give up on it. |

Gaga's definitely underperforming but it's hardly a flop cream.
