Hell, for my money, I'd say she's more like Elton John in a dress (an oxymoron, but you get my drift) and Grace than Madonna. Sure they're both Italian bleach blondes with a thing for crucifixes, but that's about it. As I said, Madonna has done some wild shit in her day, but coming out on stage in an egg, wearing 10-foot platforms and wearing crazy sunglasses while playing an extravagant piano she has never done. This bullshit about Gaga being a walking, talking, breathing Madonna clone is tired, and it's about as true as saying Britney is a Madonna clone (when we all know that child is basically Janet 2.0). Gaga is all of these artists pictured above, and yet she's uniquely herself. That's what makes her such a force in pop music, and that is why the haters as well as the fans will guarantee her a spot with the greats in the future.

People who don't "get it" should spend more time paying attention to the music and the performance rather than dissecting why she's so terrible. Whether you buy her records or incessantly bring up her failures (or what you perceive to be her shortcomings), she still has realty on your tongue and in your mind. She wins, in the end.

I'm a huge Grace Jones fan, and I see sometimes in her outfits almost a completely rip off.(sorry. I love Gaga but it's the truth.. )

Meh. The visuals AND the music bore me. Sure, she's making that money but that's about it. I can't necessarily make myself eat up something I've seen time and time again. She stopped being controversial to me about 20 outfits ago. I will admit to liking two songs of hers--Telephone is one. And not because of Bey, because quite honestly Bey could have been left out. The other is Bad Romance.

It's just too much for me. And what she's doing is her choice and I hope she doesn't stop for anyone. And she won't, because she's got that level of confidence. Feh.

I just don't get GaGa, I watched the beginning of the HBO concert and thought it was terrible!

I'm really just excited to see what kind of music and videos she's putting out years from now when she's older and she's over all the stunts and trying to be shocking. I have the feeling she's got it in her to produce some damn good stuff.

Thriller took elements from musicals like West Side Story and made them modern (for that time), and really cranked music videos up a notch.

It was also an important foretelling of what MJ was going to end up looking like in real life after the release of Bad.
