Lisette Melendez "Together Forever" vs. Corina "Temptation"
Am I the only one who used to get these 2 songs confused?

I like both artists but this is what I hate about the Freestyle era the majority of them became one hit wonders and sometimes they sounded alike. Judy Torres and Lissette to me sounded similiar. Temptation was the jam. Personally speaking, Cynthia was my favorite.

I Like Lisette as an artist...I liked her more when she left freestyle for a more r&b/hip hop sound on her 94 album with her song "Goody Goody". However of these 2 freestlye records "Temptation" by Corina wins for me...was just listening to this a few days ago. I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back. I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there. I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish. And I am

"Together Forever" by a nose.
..plus Lisette Melendez was really HOT in that video. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

I love Latin Freestyle-related threads!
With that said, my vote goes to Lisette Melendez. Her track Together Forever simply jams hard.

As much as I like Goody Goody (BTW, the video mix is better than the album version! ), I strongly believe that taking a break from freestyle to embrace the hip-hop/r&b sound was THE biggest mistake Lisette ever done in her whole music career.
And she wasn't the only dance-pop and/or Latin freestyle artist to do that.
Taylor Dane, C+C Music Factory, TKA, and even Stevie B made that fatal mistake as well. It was a bad enough that corporate media owned radio stations were using hip-hop soul, grunge, & gangsta rap to run latin freestyle off the radio formats. But seeing some of my favorite dance-pop, house, hip-house, club dance, & (especially) latin freestyle artists changing their sound to adapt made the situation far worse.

"Together Forever" wins easily for me. There are other songs by Corina that I liked a lot more than "Temptation". Like:
