Jay wasnt the first 2 rhyme fast. K-Solo,Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap ,Rev Run, Rakim, and Kool Moe Dee were rhyming in double time years b4 it was a fad.

JAY-Z and JAZ-O are two different people. You are getting things confused as I never claimed that Jay was the first. I said that JAZ can be argued as the originator of the style.

I have dispelled the rumor that Jay stole from Bone and that was my intention!

It's not a rumor when it came straight from the horse's mouth.

I don't think Jaz was the originator of that fast-speeding rap. I give that one to Kool Moe Dee.

You still haven't provided any evidence to support your claims while I have.

Jay never sounded anything like Bone. Simply rapping fast isn't "their" style.

+Timmy - I can't say that I have listened to much KMD, but everything I have heard was stereotypical slow 80s flow. Post up some choice cuts.

You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

Just to put an end to the Orgins of fast rap

Twista - 1991 (Runnin Off At Da Mouth Album)

Bone - 1993 (Faces of Death)

but who made it go mainstream or 'popular' was Bone in 1995

Big daddy kaine, Heavy D, Jaz-o, das efx etc there fast flow was short and choopy, almost a studder rap style.

Bone and Twista have fast flows that are continuous, not that starting and stopping, red light green light shit.

We can say that Jay-z's style originated from Jaz-o not cause he jacked it but more cause they were kind of a 'rap duo' in the early days, so obviously they fed off each other, but no way did Jay ever sound like Bone.

I never said that I personally think he sounded like them. I said I think he tried to. I didn't know I needed to "provide evidence" for something that you can just easily look up yourself.

Not to change the topic, but since you said that, I just want to say Twista's old fast rapping was great. These days he's still good but he's losing it.

And I agree about what you said about Jay-Z and Jaz-O, I wouldn't considering Jay trying to jack Jaz's style but more because they were like a duo, they just tried to rap he same way.
