Richard Marx one of the most successful singer and songwriters having enjoyed 13 #1 singles on basically every chart but dance, sees his "Stories To Tell" cd set get a official release this tuesday through walmart only exclusive deal. The cd was sold very limitied at concerts last year, the 2 cds include all the hits and regular versions and then acoustic songs he chose to re-do workings of, the dvd inlcuded is of a 2010 show he did in London that was filmed exclusively for this release. Richard is currently setting a promo tour and concert tour up, his new single just hit iTunes, and impacted AC as one of the most added records, the track "When You Love Me' also an exclusive for this set. Richard put together this hilarious PROMO REEL which shows how cool this guy freaking is.

Awesome! Richard was the AC king in the '80s. I got a chance to see him live some years back, and he was very cool and laidback.

And with an $11.88 Price tag, u cant go wrong, i mean one disc is acoustic with some songs he wrote for others and his own singles done acoustic, a second disc of classic hits plus the new single, and then a dvd of his concert earlier last year in London. Had to order it since walmart is not really an option here in nyc.

I can't wait.

I have a love/hate relationship with his songs. Some of them, I loathe. Some of them I just adore to pieces.

Here's to hoping he has at least a minor comeback.

I'm gonna have to pick it up myself. His songs are like the soundtrack to my teen years...Endless Summer Nights, Satisfied, Don't Mean Nothing, Should've Known Better, Angelia, Too Late To Say Goodbye, Right Here Waiting, Hazard, Take This Heart...they go on and on!

Happy to see Marx get some respect, this guy is very talented sure some of his song's where sappy love song's, but he's a talented cat, multi instrumentalist and writes all his own songs & songs for tons of other artists. Can't wait for the single to drop

Yeah the single is out now at iTunes, it got alot of adds at AC radio, his website has been doing good over the last few years promoting his indie releases and writings for other artists. I think many forget that Richard has 13#1 singles between his own and ones he has written, plus as that video reel showed, he is still the ONLY artist to have his first 7 singles hit the top 5 out of the box, its still standing today. Crazy that next year is 25 years after his debut! But a guy that has scored hits basically on every chart but dance, i think he's much overlooked, though in interviews he really doesnt mind that, he doesnt mind when his writing is a hit for another artist, as he says "I love it, and so does my accountant", i mean just think of the royalities he scored alone on the "This i Promise You" by NSYNC that he wrote, number one AC hit for 13 weeks, plus he gets a % of airplay and also album sales, dude is paid. Plus he is cool about his work, not uptight, makes fun of himself, but still knows that he is a musician first.

Exactly! which is why he is a super cool dude!, he actually was on this youtube channel for a popular youtuber named Kev Jumba... where he was relieving himself on his toilet while Kev sang right here waiting lol

But yeah Marx has had tons of different artists he has written for, hell i almost forgot living on the edge of a broken heart by Vixen was written by him!
