Donna Summer "Love To Love You Baby" Live

Nice performance. Always loved this song music

I always wondered though, since I wasn't around then I have no idea, but I always wondered for anyone who was alive or old enough to remember, what was the reaction to this song when it first came out? I mean all that groaning and sex noises, I'm suprised the song even got mainstream airplay and ended up being such a big hit! I just didn't think that would fly back then.

"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

This song created a big stir back in 1975 when it was released lol Some radio stations refused to play it and religious folks like Jesse Jackson criticized Donna.

and years later, it would have an effect on Donna. She has since, taken it out of her shows because of her religious beliefs...

Yeah, she is now embarassed by that song lol She claims it wasn't her "real" image....it was a sexy image that they wanted her to be.She feels the same way about "Bad Girls' and "Hot Stuff" but she wouldn't dare remove those songs from her setlist (lol). That's her bread and butter right there!.

Wasn't it said that there are like 23 orgasms towards the end of the song?

Aw, i'm kinda sorry to hear that Donna will no longer perform this song live, but I can understand her reasoning I suppose.

Either way, it's a great song and it will always be part of her musical legacy.
