hee hee... yeah, i wasn't too into the first book, but it definitely wasn't the worst thing i've read. i don't like 'moon walk' either. the thing is, at least la toya was open about having a ghostwriter... the ghostwriter of 'moon walk' (shaye ayreheart- i know i'm spelling it wrong) is an open secret in the industry. 'dancing the dream' is a much better book- and of course it did horribly. it was to be done for the 'dangerous' tour, and it didn't work out. there were a lot of returns. doubleday never made an investment on the book. the posthumous edition of the book most likely did better. i have had two copies of the first edition in my lifetime, getting one for a dollar or so... now, you can't even find one cheaper than $250.

I'm not hating, i kinda like the woman, but those aren't really skills, are they? She likes business?
I wish she would have made something for her own...seems to me, especially the last 20 years, she was only focused on Michael...her interviews were about Michael, her books.

so are you saying all the jacksons are conniving except mj's kids? i always try to keep my opinions to myself when it comes to the fans obsession with those kids.

Overall, I like Latoya. After The Apprentice, I just find her to be harmless.
Good call. From what i've seen it's always a joke when someone brings out the "obsession" card.

i'm actually not saying that... i was simply responding to the other comment in which you asked the same thing. what i do think is that all of the children (regardless of whose they are) are consistently caught in the middle of all the adults' dramas, when they don't need to be.
i don't personally have an obsession with the kids... i don't follow them really. i like to respect their privacy. i do think that adults in that family have proven themselves to be conniving, and the children have not. this is all i am saying.

Actually, I care.
...at least enough to read up on her and get a few really good laughs.
I wonder what it must be like to be in the shaddow of such a famous and talented sibling.
Hell, even the lesser popular Jacksons like Jermaine are actually talented (I really like Jermaine's voice, actually).
...But Latoya
She's even bared it all and couldn't garner any attention.
You're a real fucker. You act like you own this place--ParanoidAndroid <-- about as witty as this princess gets! I hope everyone pays more attention to Sags posts--sweething Jesus weeps

I read her book a long time ago...I wonder how different this one will be from that one..other than she will not have to lie about her abuse with her boyfriend anymore.
The last one ended around the Dangerous Era I believe, and she went back home...her picutres were all taken down in the whole house and she said she was very much in a sad place. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Actually latoya's playboy issue was the highest selling, i don't know if it still is. I think she has done well given her situation, she never really even wanetd to persue a career in music and her first couple of albums are nice. michael said latoya was a good actor, i agree that she should have persued acting or modeling which she did a bit of. her whole period with jack gordon made her into a joke but i think she has rebounded well from that, people don't realize she is a victim of domestic violence. I'm looking to see the book hit Jetzi's site. Jetzi has a wide collection of books on the Jacksons (particuarly Michael) but he has posted La Toya's book so maybe this will be another one to add to the list.
