Nope, and they'll be going after him just like they went after Michael's mother's business manager "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

probably just Steel Reserve 211 and ginger ale in a fancy bottle "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

The play won't even happen. Almost nothing Joe does ever goes through anyway.

I ranted about it awhile ago. I remember when you couldn't a book on the man in book stores.
Now you can go to stores and find books, posters, shirts, dolls, greeting cards, holiday ornaments, jigsaw puzzles, coffee mugs, barware, calendars, trading cards, backpacks, socks, ties.....
I mean, I know Michael signed off on much of it before he died, but DAMN
there's even Michael Jackson rubber bands "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

That's what happens when an ULTRA-FAMOUS person suddenly passes away, especially someone like MICHAEL JACKSON. Look at ELVIS after his death especially after he was buried. Look at BOB MARLEY and JOHN LENNON. Same thing.

It's very real. It wil make a nice addition to every Joe Jackson fan's collection of Joe Jackson memorabilia.

So is MJ ice cream and perfume as well. Maybe even perfume flavored ice cream. Why not? People will buy ANYTHING with a famous man's face on it, eh Joe?

But really what did you expect from a guy who basically used his own son (and sons/daughters) as a meal ticket?

Respect for the dead? Respect for the memory of his dead son who was possibly murdered? Joe Jackson may not have a conscious but damn, could he at least have a soul?
I am sickened by the muthafucca! He should have died instead of Michael. Yeah I said it. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

If you talked to some folks close to him, he thinks his family didn't even appreciate him (from his wife on down) but his actions show callousness. The Jacksons kinda accepted it as "that's Joseph for you."

Tell 'em how you really feel! "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I kiiiinda disagree. I don't know if this is something I want to believe but I think Michael bared his childhood because he wanted to be a superstar....And Joe Jackson knew that... I really don't like the guy but at the same time I just can't hate him Hard to explain. Without him there's no Michael Jackson we all fell in love with...ummm.....I don't know..

I don't hate him. Hate's a STRONG word. But I despise his actions and come on even if Michael wanted fame, you can best believe Joe didn't treat him anything less than that - a meal ticket. It's not that difficult. I stopped feeling sorry for Joseph years ago. [Edited 4/28/11 19:41pm]

Priscilla Presley made money off of Elvis after he died, and she was divorced from him. It was her idea to open Graceland as a tourist attraction and selling Elvis items like plates and dolls. Jimi Hendrix sister Janie makes money from him (and so did his father Al when Al was alive). People exploit people every day, like Nike's overpriced sneakers made in sweatshops and Persian rugs made by slave children. People exploit animals by putting them in zoos, circuses, Sea World shows, medical testing, leather clothes, etc. Capitalism wouldn't exist without exploitation. Until money ceases to exist, exploitation will always be here. Are you surprise though? And also that’s expected he‘s a Legend so expect these kinds of things to be sold now no different from all the Elvis stuff. I have many Michael shirts but sadly I couldn’t find one when he was here I would have gladly wore it then. But it's sad I just try to focus o the postive and tune everything else out. Isn't one of the big differences is that those individuals are part of the estate or have something to do with it rather than Joe Jackson who has nothing to do with it and yet he's still making money off of his dead son? I mean, I'm not going to lie, I can understand why he would, I mean it's a huge money making opportunity. Yet, at the same time something about it just doesn't sit right.
In the case of a lot dead celebrities their images get used for licensing which makes the actual money, but in those cases someone has the right to use them. Joe really doesn't. I mean in some cases someone could sympathize with him and say that MJ totally excluded him, but at the same time I'm pretty sure he knew that his mom would give the man money, but if Joe had any control over that man's estate that would have tanked pretty fast.

To me, the issue isn't Joe, but the worship of pieces of paper and small round pieces of metal with pictures of people on them, that somebody says is worth something. But it's just paper like a magazine or notebook paper. If it was up to me, money wouldn't exist. As long as money exists, and people want to collect the most material junk, so will exploitation. The whole United States was founded on exploitation, the killing of natives and stealing their land, slave labor, etc. The governments exploit people, pimps exploit people, businesses exploit people, Hollywood exploits people, people expoit the earth, so I don't know why people are crying about Joe and not everybody else. It's like griping about a neighborhood drug dealer, but not the government who allows the drugs brought into the country and into the inner city.
