SO Which one of YOUR FAVORITE ARTISTS are probably the WORST DANCERS ever?

OK, I'm not a huge fan of country music.

I'm not.

However, I really dig Mary Chapin Carpenter. I think she's an underrated song writer, and

probably more in line with folk song writing greatness than the pointless drivel that gets

put out now that they're calling country music.

At any rate, I saw her perform live once on T.V. and her dancing was just.....

Let's just say that one time Billy Ray Cyrus decided to show us what the Aechy Breaky heart

looked like as a dance step??? Well, Mary's dancing was sort of in line with that.

Marvin! falloff

I know he makes it work to his advantage but he surely wasn't gonna be a threat to James Brown in the dancing department. But I loved his little spins during "Got To Give It Up" though. giggle But yeah lol

BUT Stevie dancing compared to Marvin makes Marvin look like Gene Kelly. Seriously Stevie made me laugh my ass off when he was trying to dance during his BET performance of "What the Fuss". falloff I almost thought he jumped the shark when he did that. lol He danced like that uncle that always appears in those type of big family reunions embarrassing his side of the family. lol

Sorry Stevie, but I had to call you out playa. cool lol

Could I just ignore your question and say whatever I want about these days entertainer/dancers? My favorites are either amazing dancers or not a dancer at all ^_^

Personally I don't think you should dance and try to be a dance musician if you suck at dancing XP

The only decent dancers nowadays are Ciara, Usher, Chris Brown and Omarion. And um, Mya and the lead singer of Pussycat Dolls Nicole whatever are pretty good too...Love Beyonce but never thought she was a great dancer. Britney and Christina are...well...Britney used to be good but now the way they dance is just so methodical. Actually most of these days dancers are a bit boring and mechanical! Even the decent ones I mentioned above...

I love watching James Brown dance moves videos on youtube. Fred Astaire, MJ...how come dancers from old days are more soulful and had better choreography? I love dancers who can make it look like the music is moving them...not the other way around!

If you can find it, check out Roland Orzabal in the video for Tears For Fears' Change. lol

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I've noticed that many acts who make dance music can't dance, such as Depeche Mode, Lisa Lisa, Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys, Kraftwerk, Art Of Noise, Samantha Fox, Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Whitney "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" Houston, etc. razz

And while this is probably not so surprising but the Supremes and the Vandellas couldn't dance worth licks either. I saw footage of both groups and while the Vandellas seemed more like they were having fun with their performances even with the lack of sweet moves, the Supremes danced like ducks running from the guns on Nintendo's Duck Hunter. Even Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson danced with two left feet. neutral Diana Ross seemed to be a better dancer after leaving the group. The Marvelettes on the other hand made both groups look stupid with their dancing. I was surprised by that honestly.

That's not the whole video, it cuts off before the dancing part.

  • The only one that "danced" was Dave Gahan and I have to agree but he's a fine mover though. There's a GIF of him moving that hot body of his somewhere. lurking jerkoff
  • Lisa Lisa just posed. lol
  • Duran Duran definitely weren't trying to be dancers. lol
  • Neither were the Pet Shop Boys, the one who wasn't deejaying was just sashaying lol
  • Kraftwerk were NEVER gonna move onstage lol
  • Same with Art of Noise
  • Samantha Fox was like Lisa Lisa, she just posed lol
  • The Bee Gees would definitely not try to dance. With the talents they had in other fields they didn't need to. Though I did like it when Robin moved around. That hair... mushy
  • Donna Summer had two left feet lol
  • Whitney surely can't dance at all falloff

HELL even with the part that he's looking like he's dancing, it looks odd. For some reason the full video ain't been posted. neutral

Van Damme was in one of those Breakin'/Beat Street movies in the early 80's.
