Her early ballads are epic.
On a drive out of town recently my dad blasted Celine Dion and Gloria Estefan on the way there and back - the Celine Dion stuff was like chinese water torture, but I was justttt fineee with the Gloria stuff lol. Brought back memories too because my dad used to play her stuff a lot for us when we were kids.
My favorite ballad by her was (and still is), "Anything for You". My second favorite is probably "Words Get in the Way".

haha soon as i saw this thread i knew "here we are" was gonna b in it and thats my jaaaam
idk why ballads are not something that media/radio don't jump on anymore. its like there is no place for emotion.
romance is a good thing... with gloria there is that passion in her voice, the sincerity... | |
