Tupac’s ‘Juice’ Role Filled by Soulja Boy in Remake

Click the image to open in full size.

*Just after Soulja Boy released his mixtape, “Juice,” he announced that he will be playing the role of legendary West Coast rapper Tupac in an upcoming biopic.

He specifically spoke about becoming “Bishop.”

“Basically, it’s your boy Soulja and I’m Bishop in 2011, running around in the streets, man. You know how the movie goes, but we’re flipping it and shooting in Atlanta. I want to show these people my acting side and me being creative—always giving them something new; that’s all. I got same video director that shot ‘Crank That,’ ‘Kiss Me Through The Phone,’ ‘Turn My Swag On’ —my most successful videos. The whole mixtape is the soundtrack for the movie.”

Filming will begin “soon.”

Why are they even remaking Juice in the first place? The original was perfect.

It's only a matter of time before some smartass in Hollywood start thinking about remaking/rebooting The Breakfast Club.

What disturbs me the most is Soulja boy's lack of proper English speaking skills. Is formal English not being taught in schools?

Judging by the math, English, and social skills of today's youth as I observe them in the community, doesn't seem that much of anything is being taught in schools. Or, if those skills are being taught, the only kids that seem to be paying attention are the one's from other countries. Moreover, if the Internet is any indication, the lack of those skills does not seem to be limited to our youth.

Can't understand why "Juice" needs a remake. It's not as if there's some new technology now that will make the retelling of that story any different, unless they're planning on making "Juice 3D", which I wouldn't put past them.

Are you serious? Is this a big release or some kind of Independant release? Either way, Soulja Boy sucks, he shouldn't be playing Bishop from Juice.

well i pray that the "late" john hughes who created that and so many other classic 80's flicks has some sort of hold on remakes, i mean im praying. Its like this, GET YOUR OWN damn ideas!! im tired of hearing the excuse in music and film, "oh everything has been done before" bullshit, thats lazy thinking and why 90% of music today is either a cover or sample or copied and 75% of hollywood is nothing more than remakes or comic book movies.
