Pabst Brewing and pitchman Snoop Dogg are catching flak for a drink critics call "a binge in a can."
Blast, a fruit-flavored malt liquor that comes in a 23-ounce can, was launched earlier this month and 17 state attorneys general have written to Pabst urging it to reduce the drink's alcohol content, reports CNN.
The alcohol content of one can of Blast—12%—is equivalent to the alcohol in as many as five regular 12-ounce beers.
The attorneys general also accuse Pabst of marketing the drink—a fruity concoction with flavors including strawberry lemonade and raspberry watermelon—to underage drinkers, a charge the company denies. "All we were doing was putting together flavors that were appealing to people that definitely are over the legal age,” a spokesman says. “We're going to do our very best to hammer home the message of responsible drinking.” | |

I wanna try this too. I'm curious how the grape and watermelon flavors will taste (cue the black stereotype jokes!).
Four Loko was all right, but it didn't knock my socks off. I actually bought a few cans once they banned stores from selling them in a lot of counties in my state. They're still in the fridge, chillin' and waiting for my next "binge"! | |

It will most likely taste like a double-strength wine cooler, which is the same premise, to be honest its a drink that will mess u up but for peeps who cant take straight liqour thats the basica premise, target people that want to get tipsy but cant take vodka etc...same shit different can. I mean energy drinks are the bigger issue i think because anyone can get them and they cause internal damage which kids will find out in about 5-10 years after drinking shit loads of Monster and RedBull.

true in theory of cashing in however i dont compare someone cursing on a record to people get drunk on some cheap ass crap that tastes like fruit punch. But with that theory then you need a country drinking age not a state by state one.
But this would all change tomorrow if alcohol was labeled a DRUG which it is, and along with that Energy Drinks and Caffeine ALL DRUGS should be labelled that way, but people would never let that happen, even though if you are downing 2-3 cups a coffee a day 7 days a week, your a drug addict "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F | |
