Not saying he didn't do them but Shep is not credited anywhere on my disc..what gives

he isn't? thought for sure it was him. who's credited?

Just jam n Lewis..with Steve hodge engineering...same with the remixes..maybe mine is different

my remixes are titled:
Miss U Much-Mama Mix and Oh I Like That Mix and a 7" edit

got the CD? look right under the line

*EXECUTIVE PRODUCER:
John McClain
*Additional Production and
Remix by Shep Pettibone
*Remix Engineer: Goh Hotoda
*Edited by Tony Shimkin

Thisis weird..mine only says Executive Producer:John McClain Janet Jackson: then goes on about keyboards and drum and keyboard programming and percussion...no Shep mentuioned.

serial number is 7502-12325-2 ..maybe one of ours is an import?

mine's the US CD (maxi-)single. 75021 2398 2

it contains:

1. Miss You Much (7" Slammin' R&B Mix*) 4:26
2. Miss You Much (Slammin' R&B Mix*) 7:36
3. You Need Me 4:34

hmmm

see we have diff versions..mines a Mama Mix and Oh I Like That Mix one..so there are two Miss U Much cd singles but both with You Need Me.You have the Shep versions.

i have to say i really don't care for janet anymore. i used to be a superfan. (i even caught her sweaty towel on the janet. tour in 94). but her internet fans really turned me off to her. they mostly make Prince fans look sane. mostly. plus, i thought the All For You album was a step back. The Velvet Rope might have been full of pop psychology and phony 'depression' but it was a great, serious album. All For You just didn't measure up. i liked that it was fun, but the music, lyrics, and singing just weren't up to par for this one. add to that the fact that she's getting that spacey Jackson look in her eye, like she's either just had or really needs another painkiller. i think i can say that i'm no longer a fan.

of course, she'll put out a new album and i'll buy it and replace all of my sold janet CD's and she'll prove me a liar. but every time, the draw to her is weaker and weaker with me.

I felt this way too..but I saw the All 4 You tour and that Smeone To Calll My Lover etc hit as the song of the summer for 2001..seeing the tour actually made me realize Janets past etc and made me appreciate All 4 U ..because before I saw the tour I was "eh" about All 4 U and Janet as well..but once u get into it it has such a flow and such a ..I cant explain it but I dont blame you. Thank god for All 4 You though...

All 4 U doesn't have the same dark edge, passion, anger and soul like Velvet Rope have, I guess thats why it lost its sparkle right after I gave it few listens. However, it does have some cool moments somewhere.

As 4 the tour?? I respect her live but I just don't like the stage hype that she always put(lights-smoke-dancers-fire and all of that).

I liked that for the RN tour I went to see but got lost later..I appreciated it for the Live All 4 You tour..and Ive seen damn near everyoone..it was realy really a good show, spectacle and all.

yeah, but don't you think she's done almost the exact same stage show 3 times in a row now? fierce choreographed opening set. ballad set... she cries. "fantasy" set with all that stupid elf and toy shit on the stage and dopey costumes. final set/encore, in jeans and relaxed.

I had not seen her since RN but yes she does the same tricks live..its just this one was one I was up close close for and didnt even want to go but close tix were available..then seeing her work out on stage and all the songs she had in her castalogue woke me out of my anti-Janet fog and I was home again. Plus that sex em up contraption episode she did with an audience member blew my fuckin mind and her working it out during her hit s etc..man u could see the blood sweat n tears. Then the All 4 You album..I mean listen to Truth..heartbreaking melody..love it..better days..the funky All 4 U..Son Of A Gun etc..Someone To call My Lover top down summer song..it took me a while to hear and appreciate it but damn if I finally ended up doing that. Its a perfect album --a lighter Velvet Rope...she is over her shit and this is her album telling about it and her new outlook.

She even ripped Sheila E's move from the Purple Rain's tour when she sets on a man's lap and let him lick her stomach lol
