Funny music, dull interviewee...

..Ok bare with me for my crappy thread title. I have a theory that some artists who write music that can be funny or humoures like Eminem and Prince, come across as quite serious, aloof and quite frankly dull in interviews.

On the flip, people who more serious grandiose pop music, like Yes keyboard player Rick Wakeman and Oasis' Noel Gallagher, can be quite funny and down to earth in interviews.

In the film world, Sylvester Stallone has made right wing, po faced serious films like Rambo, yet in interviews he is candid and funny. Arnie on the other hand often made tongue in cheek action films yet takes himself very seriously in interviews (not as much as Prince or Eminem mind)

Take Rick Wakeman again. Very pretensious solo albums about wizards and general prog wankery, yet he seems very approachable in interviews and down to earth. Prince makes at times very funny and humoures music, yet he comes across as very po faced, serious and dull (ditto for Eminem).

Toto's Steve Lukather is another one. Thanks to youtube, I have seen interviews with the group where he is surprisenly funny, yet the music he makes is well known for being very technical and serious. Even slush master Diane Warren has a very dry sense of humour despite the constant hallmark style love songs she writes?

Does this pattern follow with more people? Or is it just coincidense with these people?
