My favorite memory of this song is when we took a field trip in my senior year of high school to Parchman, the Mississippi State Prison. There was one guy in the class that dressed real punk rock with ripped jeans, bandanas around his legs, handcuffs, and great big spiked hair. He thought he was a real badass and all that. Well, the prison guards took his handcuffs away from him and cussed him out for bringing them saying...."You damn fool, don't you know one of these prisoners might take those and hold you hostage".

But my absolute favorite was when we were walking down the sidewalk entering one of the buildings and the male prisoners were all looking out the windows and whistling at the boys. One of the prisoners hollered at the punk rocker.....

"Hey Tina Turner! Tina Turner! You BETTER be good to me bitch!"

When we got inside, we were standing inside a glass booth that was up in the air above the area where the prisoners were. It kinda resembled a DJ booth in a nightclub. The prisoners were all jumping up as high as they could and were beating on the glass. One of them kept hollering to the punk rocker.....

"Tina! Come on down here bitch and be good to ME!"

That punk rocker that thought he was such a badass was scared as hell.

This is my jam. I also love Private Dancer, obviously. My mother is a huge Tina fan, from the old school to the new school and this got frequent spins... As did, "Simply the Best", "River Deep Mountain High", and "A Fool In Love" (my personal fav).
