^^^ Oops! I see Sean already commented on Marine Jahan... Oh, well. Here's some pix of her anyway. lol BTW didn't know about the male dancer! lol

LOL yup and the thing about Marine is her hair (wig) was completely different than Jennifer Beals's hair, and her body type was different too. You can plainly see her face in the "Maniac" scene. It's like, come on! And yeah, I heard that Crazy Legs had to shave his moustache and everything (of course). Can you imagine being on-set that day? Crazy Legs walking around in a leotard! lol

Footloose (the movie) is just crap and the song is crap

Flashdance is a shitty movie but the song is an 80's dance/pop classic, despite the cheesy lyrics...

Yeah, too bad Kenny Loggins started doing that tailor-made stuff for movies when he did so many great songs in the past... As far as the movie goes--it was okay but kinda boring to me. I liked Flashdance a lot better although it certainly had its faults, too. lol

I've never seen 'Footloose' from beginning to end but I wasn't too impressed with the few scenes that I saw.

I saw 'Flashadance' a few years after it came out and I couldn't figure out what all the hype was about. It's a very mediocre movie.I heard that it was intended to be the "Saturday Night Fever of the 80s"...LOL...it doesn't even compare!

I don't care for Footloose. Too hokey.

Flashdance doesn't have much in the way of character development but its sexy and the dancing is off the hook!!!!

These movies seem to only air on VH1.

Ive read that 3 people stood in for Jennifer Beals dancing. A male teenage breakdancer, a French female classicaly trained dancer and some other woman.

The French woman that stood in for Jennifer was, at the time, married to the man who danced for Kevin Bacon in footloose.

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

Flashdance Ending 2:33 to 2:38. She dances like Rocky Balboa. She is for that fleeting moment the "ITALIAN STALLION!!!"

Anyway my vote goes to Footloose if only for the more manly appeal of the movie and the FUCKING AWESOME title track smile

I heard 'Crazy Legs' passed away a few years ago. Is that true?

That was plainly obvious they used a body double. So cheesy
