Andre Cymone surprise track

I won an auction on ebay last week for a UK cd single by Jermaine Stewart (remember We Don't have to take our clothes off). The single has 4 tracks Tren de Amor (train of love), Got to be Love (the Cymone mix), Tren de Amor (express mix), and When Sex Becomes a Religion.

Got to be love was written by Andre Cymone and Jermaine Stewart in 1987, the other tracks were 1989. I don't know if the regular track was on any of Jermaine's cds or not. This is the remix. Its pretty funky for '87. Kinda like Love/Hate that he did with Peebles.

anymore info, throw it.

Yep, Andre, Jody, and Jermaine were all good friends -- Jody and Andre moreso wink If you look at Jermaine's albums, I believe you'll find several songs co-written with (or written by) Andre, and of course, a lot of Jody's '80s songs were co-written with her then-husband, Andre.

I liked "Baby Don't Go" the best, and of course, "Kelly's Eyes," and for some weird reason "Voice on the Radio" maybe because of something in the lyrics. "M.O.T.F." is one of my favs off his 2nd album, followed by the last three songs. And 5 out of 8 songs on A.C. are pretty killer. Too bad he didn't do more.

My favorite Andre Cymone song is "Pretty Wild Girl" from his 1985 'AC' album. That song reminds me of Prince's "The Beautiful Ones".

I only have Andre's 'AC' album, but I am familiar with the two albums that came before it.His second album (in 1983) featured the minor hits "You Make Me Wanna Dance" and the Prince-like "What Are We Doing Here?".

Are any of his albums available on CD?
