I love this song

yep, good jam, not exactly a classic but it finishes the album decently, specially after those two turds called Shit-Bee-Doo and Pretender...

And yes - "Stay" is tha sheeeeeeeit

It's "Over and Over" and "Pretender" that underwhelm me...plus i love it, but who really wants to ever bump "Material Girl"

I used to hate "Stay," thought it was a corny and generic, and much preferred "Pretender" to it. I still think "Stay" is corny and generic, but my opinion of it in recent years has let up; it's aging better than a lot of the other songs on that album.

One of the better song's off Like A Virgin which i find to be one of my least favorite Madonna albums

I don't like the last two songs on this album :"Pretender" and "Stay". I have no problem with the other tracks ("Angel" is my fav) but this isn't one of my favorite Madonna albums.

interestingly,the first verse of "Stay" includes lyrics from the unreleased 1981 track "Don't You Know",a song that I really love.The audio is in poor condition and it's just a demo,but imagine if this song was polished up a little,with re-recorded vocals.It would have been one of her early classics!

LOVE this song! Like a Virgin is her best album. I do like Pretender a tad bit better though

Sure, great singles on it but Material girl is annoying after so many listens, over & over is an ok but cheesy pop song. The Pretender is ok, Dress you up is still pretty good. Stay is a pretty good track to...

But overall i find the album kind of boring i rarely come back to it as much as her others

errr not her best. I could listen to "dress you up" and "angel" a hundred times over this.

I appreciate 'Like A Virgin' for being the album that made her into a global superstar and I think that the singles are great,but do you really think it's her best album? Better than 'Like A Prayer' and 'Ray Of Light'?

I think it's a good album with a handful of great tunes (title track,"Material Girl","Angel" and "Dress You Up") but this was just a warm-up.Like the first album,it doesn't even begin to show what she's fully capable of.
