PFunk in Houston

George Clinton and the mob played Houston's Arena Theatre last night. Arena Theatre is a small Theatre in the Round, and at first the cramped stage slightly hindered the flow of the funk. George finally ordered the stage to stop its designed spinning and caught a deep funk groove nearly 2 hrs into the show. "This is for us" George said very seriously, and then he let Rick Rouse loose on the guitar during the final set that also included Garry's brother on vocals singing Cholly.

Club Swagger was nice enough to host one of the few PFunk afterparties that I have ever seen. PFunkers doing a quasi karaoke to Steely Dan was worth the trip to Texas.

since Run & Them were saying "Here we go"
