Cee-Lo Green

I love Cee-Lo, i own his 3 solo albums, both Gnarles Barkley albums & even some Goodie Mob

I love this guy, and it's awesome he has continued through all these band's & then solo projects, his new album The Lady Killer from the i have a license to kill ladies intro, to the beautiful Wild flower, the funky Bright Lights, Bigger City, the smooth Satisfied & of course the killer hit single Fuck You

I would like Cee-Le to have as much success as possible but i am afraid he is going for another 1 hit wonder status sadly, Goodie Mob's only top 40 hit was Cell Therapy.

Gnarles Barkley's only hit was the massive Crazy it went to number 2 but they had no other hits despite having 2 great albums. And now Fuck You id currently at number 2 as well, but his other singles haven't even charted...

I Think Cee-Lo is a great artists and i hope he doesn't become a one hit wonder solo wise

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

i think there are only certain people who follow cee-lo... others just know certain songs. i think it's pretty amazing he (and outkast) seemed to be the few from the initial dungeon family members to have major success... big gipp i think was a little more well known too... and joi and sleepy brown have a little bit of notoriety. yeah, i knew cee-lo from the goodie mob, and when he was on the common (sense) album 'one day it'll all make sense'- "G.O.D. (gaining one's definition)... i was actually surprised when he branched out and started singing with folks.

it's funny, because i remember talking with someone about cee-lo when his first record came out, and we were talking about how people were not gonna get it... his stuff was awesome, but it was too 'out there' for the masses (similar to joi, actually). i actually liked the first album more than the later albums. and a few years down the line, he collaborates with dangermouse (intially meeting/collaborating some years ago). and the rest is history.

and more amazing that a dude named after a game got this famous... hee hee...

i think he better slow down though. people are gonna chew him up and spit him out if he's not careful. he seems too much of a free spirit, too.

i love Cee-Lo too, and i think as a fan, you should perhaps rethink how u measure his success in terms of "chart hits". he has great name recognition and people seem to realize he is an undeniable talent, and although Cell Therapy was Goodie's only "hit", real hip hop fans know they were so much more.

I actually regard Cee-Lo as a legend in the making. He was on classic shit with Goodie Mob, then he has had a good run solo-wise and the work with Gnarls Barkley. I think he's a superstar now. He's one of those cats where "chart hits" don't matter.
