Starbuck: So The Night Goes

Wow, have never heard a Starbuck song beyond Moonlight, Feels Right, their hit, but this song that I stumbled on is, what can I say, Wacked:

I don't know yet if I like this song or not. It is one strange ass song, especially for a commercial pop group of the 70s. Very Zappa like, but still pop. Oddly interesting.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

music Love this song! I have a 2-CD set that contains the first two Starbuck albums.I love their synth-based,mid-70s rock/pop sound!!

it's a shame that they are only remembered for their 1976 hit "Moonlight Feels Right".Their entire first album is a masterpiece! The second album is also great.

It got me to listen to all of their fucking songs..lol Obviously beyond the cheesy element of this group they do do very good songs. The synth player is a gem.

Benny Bought The Big One is another good one:

I will place a bet that Prince heard these records.

"the synth player is a gem"

nod that's what made their sound so distinctive.Very few 70s bands sounded like this.

Big fan of the band here. Bruce Blackmon has a real gift for great hooky pop, IMO.

Also worth checking out is this GEM from the last Starbuck album in '78 ("Searchin For A Thrill"). Almost as good as "Moonlight", I always thought.

After Starbuck split, Bruce recorded another album under the psudonym ""Korona" in 1980. It's way OOP & very hard to find, but good times if ya can find it.

"Everybody Be Dancin" was the first single from their second album. This tune is just as fun and infectious as their debut hit "Moonlight Feels Right".It should have been a Top 10 smash in 1977.
