I am a huge beatles fan and a fan of this song, but as a true geek I like to think this song is a perfect an example of the difference between John & Paul

I don't know that I'm right but it sounds to me like John wrote the verses and Paul wrote the bridge

Paul's bridge "I'm so glad..." is so fluffy compared to the much cooler verses. It's the same thing in A Hard Days Night.

But these were pretty early tunes where they were just churning out product, and it's great product.

I like that it gives me contrast, I noticed the same thing you did in A Day In Life Paul's bridge shed some lightness on a very dark tune.

this is the first song ( chronologically) that gets my attention. all the other songs before that does nothing for me.
