Goldfrapp fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Will Gregory’s recent announcement the band is already working on its next album, despite parting ways with their record label.
The less famous half of electro-pop duo told BBC6 Music: “I am ready to do it now, to get back to Goldfrapp will be a very refreshing change."
“We have tried sitting down and writing lists and having coffee to talk about it, but usually we just mess about, it’s good not to be too conscious about what you do.”
Will confirmed that there is a lot of material left over from their last outing but doubts it will be used for album number six.
“We have, as usual, lots of stuff in the bottom drawer which we rejected the first time round, but I expect we’ll want to start a fresh this time round.”
Alison Goldfrapp announced the band was leaving EMI after their critically acclaimed Headfirst album failed to make an impact on the charts.

Happy to hear it. I love their music and they are great live performers. Head first had a few good songs but I don't think it was as strong as their previous efforts so I would hate for it to be their last release.
