The Social Network Soundtrack

It has been a long time since I enjoyed a movie score from a recent film. The score was done by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, never heard of those guys but I seriously enjoyed what they did. What do you guys think of this?

Ooooh ok, then hmmm I'm familiar with the group, not the members. Is there anything I should check from them as a starting point(beside this soundtrack)?

There's only 1 member and that's Trent. Think of "Nine Inch Nails" in the same vein as "Prince and the NPG".

Anyway, if you wanna get started on NIN, start at the beginning with their 2 best albums: Pretty Hate Machine (self described by Trent as his answer to 1999) and Broken. Their most famous album is The Downward Spiral and it's not bad. Of their recent stuff, my favorite is With Teeth. Their later records are a bit too um... Abstract for my taste.

Thanks.

I'm listening to the samples from Pretty Hate Machine and I like what I'm hearing.

What do you think of the soundtrack?

The Oscar they won this year was well-deserved.

I would also recommend the Nine Inch Nails double album The Fragile.

Wow, Harle, glad to see you get pulled 'into the void'. NIN has very awesome music worth exploring. The Fragile and Downward Spiral are two favorites but I also like Ghosts I - IV which might be a little too experimental for some but might be closer to Social Network.

And Five for Fighting. Another one-man group.

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!
RIP Dick Clark, Whitney Houston, Don Cornelius, Heavy D, and Donna Summer. rose
