Cee was helpful to the careers of people that were (and still are) homophobic. The very fact that he allow those people to get away with it despite the fact that Cee himself was closet gay still makes him a sexual hypocrite.

Basketball player Magic Johnson, of course, tested HIV+ back in the '80s, but has never progressed to AIDS and has remained virtually asymptomatic, at least as far as we know.

With respect, that's absurd. It'd be one thing if Cee were out there touting some homophobic party line and living in direct contrast to his vitriol. It's quite another if he simply has chosen not to subject himself to all sorts of reprisals for being some LGBT rights activist to our level of satisfaction. You have no idea what sorts of conversations he had with these assholes in private; moreover, one's proximity to those assholes doesn't necessarily make one complicit in or liable for their... well... assholery.
