I like this!!! razz

the funny thing is, I was by

my bruh'nlaws bout a week ago

and we watched a re-run episode of

The Gayle King Show, after Marque mentioned

Oprah had a problem with her theme music

said it was too "ghetto" ROTFL

but she came back from break

and this song was playing

and my ears perked up as soon as

I heard his trademark synthesizer

and I remember thinking "I don't think I have that!" sad

but am now stealing the album thanx to this thread biggrin

I stopped collecting RPJ & Raydio

after this album:

so I JUST missed A Woman Needs Love by a hair mad

thanx for bringing it to my attention cool

I'm stealing The Other Woman as well lol

was it any good? it got 3 stars over on allmusic.com

just like AWNL so I figured it was worth a spin too

I've never seen Gayle's show and don't know what her theme music is. But my mom watches Oprah, and she always has people like Barbra Sreisand, Celine Dion, Rick Springfield, etc. on her show.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

The "A Woman Needs Love" album is absolutely great. "The Other Woman" album is good but not as good as the previous ones.
