It was good!

First off Kool Moe Dee! He still looks god, though a lil chunky but hey most of us are... He did Go See The Doctor, How Ya Like Me Now, and Wild Wild West. Talked a lot. He has more hits than that so it made no sense!

Next Kurtis Blow. Kurtis actually looks kinda fit! He was dancing. He did The Breaks, and his song from Krush Groove, and Basketball. Stayed rapping the whole set basically!

I got to holla at him in the hall after and told him he did good and he looked straight at me and said thanks!

Next Doug E Fresh who talked a whole lot and was starting to irk me until I remembered he basically only has one song, duh. He did The Show and Lodi Dodi which is really Slick Rick.

Whodini was next. Folk seemed tired and did not know Funky Beat! They also did Friends, Freaks Come Out At Night, One Love, an acoustic version of I'm a Hoe (which was my jam as a lil gurl, go figure) and Big Mouth. Good set!

Salt N Pepa were excellent!!! They danced, and are very much in sync and comfortable together. Pepa is too funny! They did a whole bunch of songs. Salt brought her husband on stage for Whatta Man, and Pepa pulled a Janet. Also Shoop, Tramp, and of course, Push It! Salt ended by reppin' for God and did Stomp and people had the nerve to walk out! Shameful! They rocked it though!

I had a good time despite being able to smell someone's hot breath through the whole arena and some chick who was so drunk she pissed herself and didn't even know it smh.

It was a last minute decision but once I realized it was basically right up the block the opportunity was just to good to miss! So glad I went. It wasn.t sold out and I bought a floor ticket 1 hour before the show lol, but it was a decent crowd. Between Prince and this I'm good for a while!

Sounds like a fun throwback show.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! clapping

Just based on what you reported, I looked it up and they're bringing this show to the D, at the Fox, April 23rd, the day before Easter. I don't listen to the radio...so I didn't even know about it. shrug

Apparently, no one else does either because I just scored two tickets in the Orchestra Pit. woot!

Thanks, Darlin'! hug

BTW, what exactly did you mean by "Pepa pulled a Janet"? She didn't freak Salt's husband on stage...did she? eek

.

She pulled a Janet=got a random dude from the audience lol.

You will have a good time! Check the artist line up too because it might be different. For instance Lyte was a part of it, Slick Rick, and a few others. I would have been in heaven if Lyte had been there!

You better tell Doug that because he spent 15 minutes talking, playing slow jam snippets and TV themes. Then 5 min doing a repetitive beat box, which was only cool for his endurance but was not creative.

And I've seen Doug before and he was not that lame....

And Kool should've been slaying us with hits!

I saw Salt n Pepa here in brooklyn at The MLK free summer concert series last year. A lot of great artists have done shows here and I was fortunate to see Salt n Pepa, Naught By Nature and others last year. SNP were excellent! They sang all their hits and even brought Busta Rhymes on stage as a suprise guest for one song which made the crowd go crazy. I'm suprised that you said people walked out when they performed "Stomp" tho Bklynbabe. They also used that song to close their show last year when they performed at Wingate Park and the crowd seemed to be into it.

Oh well, I really enjoyed seeing them and I would go see 'em again if I had the chance.

Glad you had fun!

"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart
