New issue of VIBE magazine/Mariah Carey on the cover So,did anybody get the new issue of Vibe with Mariah Carey on the cover? She looks HOT!!!
She disses J-Lo in the interview,and has some thinly veiled comments aimed at Eminem and her ex husband Tommy Mottola. Haven't had a chance to read the rest of the issue yet.I'm still drooling over the Mariah photo on the front...lol... | |

I'd take Mariah over J.Ho any day of the week! Musically and everything else for that matter!

I think the problem with J.Lo and using that word is that she doesn't look like the type to use it...she looks so 'girly' and 'pretty' (not to say they're not either, because that's a stereotype), but it's like she can't even be associated with the 'ghetto', or the people who would give her props from inner city communities, if that's what she's trying to do, and where her phoniness lies, that shines right through her, that is what every sees when they dislike her saying the word because she sounds so funny saying it... 'Hispanics' use the word, and so do 'black' people also, and others, but when she's says it, it seems like she's only 'using it', and that's wrong, because, it really shows. That’s like Janet Jackson using the word, she would sound funny also, and it wouldn't make it right, just because she happens to be 'black', and not everyone from the ‘hood’ uses that word anyway...you know what I’m saying! She looks totally different, a little older, and more sophisticated...the look she sports now makes her look younger so that those little teenyboppers could buy her CD's and bop to her music... Then makes a song out of it, and then with the video she shows, it seems like the only person that she's trying to convince is herself, because no one from HERE is buying it...She is CONFUSED. She doesn't know whether she's coming or going because she's not even sure where's she's from...ANYWAY, I agree, Mariah Carey anyday, and I have most of her CD's anyway... As for the 'J.Ho' or 'Low' names they give her, I don't agree with that because it gives even more into the stereotype of how some people like to classify women of 'Hispanic' origin as 'hot to trot women' or whatever they call it, or especially when people just want to spread hate instead of love, and that's just no good... But if she gives reason to do it at times, as it seems sometimes, it just doesn't help either... | |
