My cousin was into CB radios during this time, he had a home-base station and mobile unit. This song always reminds me of him and his pastime love affair with CB radios.

I used to dig the hell out of Girl I Think the World About You and

High On Sunshine. Lionel at his soulful best.

CB (Citizens Band) Radio was like the Internet of the 70's. Instead of "screen names" everyone had "handles", and you could always find someone new to talk to that you never knew before. You could also get helpful information on CB radios, like where old Smokey was hiding, if you were traveling on the Interstate Highways. CB radios turned up in the lyrics of several songs back then, and were also featured in several movies. At the time, CB radios seemed like the wave of the future.
