sweething

Stanley Clarke

Whoa...saw him last night; another perfectionist. At 60 yrs (or so) he's simply incredible. Clarke has a band that is flawless, keyboards-hot; drummer was beyond amazing--guy from Compton, California--dude was certifiably insane on the drums, no joke. Stanly bangin' on that bass, never heard anything like it.

Oh, now I really understand.... I have to tell you he played one song that took the crowd to one singular point in time and space and then he paused, just long enough to keep us floating in the waves--it was incredible--then after he brought us back up to the surface of our individual consciousnesses he, literally, asked us "is everyone o.k.?" ha, ha.

beautiful, mastery
