Who do you think was the best of the three groups?

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

i'm goin' for the new kids, because (a. i'm not really familiar with the other two groups, and (b. the new kids ripped off the delfonics (and actually did an okay job of it). they were maurice white's answer to new edition (after they took him to court for cheating them).

i heard one of those groups when they did man in the mirror with luther vandross at the 30th anniversary thing for michael, and they were horrible. it was like, why not just have luther up there? and a friend of mine likes the backstreet boys and i heard maybe two songs, and wasn't into it at all.

I loved all three but New Kids are my first love.

Between Backstreet boys and Nsync I think Backstreet had the better songs and Nsync had the image and dance moves I think at the end of the day I’m an Nsync girl but Backstreet was good.

I think they all suck to a degree...BUT for total, shallow, esthetic value...I liked Jonathan from NKOTB, Kevin Richarson was an ultimate J/O dreamboat, and I also fancied JC Chasez from NSYNC...other than that...give me Prince or Teena any day!

BSB has good voices and harmonies with catchy songs

N Sync has the best songs of them all (at least they don't sound like one another like the BSB)

I was never feeling New Kids On the Block but their Right Stuff dance is identifiable, so I'm guessing they have more memorable material

Boyz II Men and New Edition were MY favourite boy bands in the 90's.

But from the 3 brought up for this topic, I'm going with N Sync.

Loved BSB and grew to love NSYNC since they were totally different from each other. Hated NKOTB but like them as solo artists....Jordan Knight's album is superb IMHO drool I'd have to go with NSYNC as my favorite but only by a small margin over BSB. I still like AJ the best out of both groups...his recent solo album is quite good too. I would be interesting to see them all together but that won't be happening anytime soon.

I thought that Jordan did a pretty decent cover of "I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man". BUT...I only know of the 12 version, not the album version, but I was quite pleased!

LOL mjjstudent! I only know a lot of their songs cause I always had the radio on and had friends who were big Backstreet Boys fans. I mostly listened to r&b/hip hop those days but still knew the songs cause they were everywhere. I liked N Sync's singles but didn't bother getting their albums until a friend was insisting I borrow No Strings Attached and wasn't taking no for an answer, and I ended up loving it and burning a copy for myself, and then getting the follow up album.

I got sent a Backstreet Boys CD by a music club without ordering it and gave it a chance, aside from the singles, I liked one other track that sounded like a combo of an MJ and Prince song (If You Want It To Be Good Girl Get Yourself a Bad Boy) but ended up giving it away fast. I think the Backstreet Boys best song is The Call, it doesn't sound like their other stuff.

I wore these songs out I was 11 during their heyday my family used to say why you like those white boys I did not care lol

and the call is far from BSB best record you have to listen to the tracks that were non singles

I love if you want it to be good girl, it's such an mj/prince track smile My cousin was playing non single tracks too not too long ago and I liked them. All their stuff sounded the same to me though when they came out.

And aw I loved I Want It That Way, it was always on the radio in 10th grade on the way to school and put me in a good mood. My friend was such a big fan of them, and she also loved mj and janet so she would hear me go on about them lol so it takes me back to having fun times with her.

Have U heard the parody "Which Backstreet Boys Gay"? It's so funny! "...ain't nothing but a buttache, ain't nothing but a fruitcake..." I think those were the lyrics?!
