I'm partial to Mimi's because it was the first version I heard(high school days, baby mushy)

Love Blondie Young's version though sexy the whole debut album is a KILLER. I mean...

U couldn't go wrong music

Mariah version is okay but I gotta go with Val's version, of course I'm biased when it comes to any "PUNK FUNK" production!

I've just heard both versions for the first time and I prefer Mariah's.

I remember talking to Val on the phone a few years back, for my Tupac documentary (she sang the hooks on "To Live & Die in LA", "Black Jesus", "Street Life" and "Don't Stop The Music". There was a few more, too.

I wanted to interview her in person, but unfortunately she was on vacation at the time. She was really nice, though. And I've always loved this song - but I've never heard Mariah's cover. I'm not sure that I want to, TBH.

I probably prefer Val's version

I have MiMi's somewhere around here I think

wasn't it like a remix to one of her songs

where she added that in?

kinda like "My All/Stay A Little While Child"?

let me push play

I love MiMi for remaking this

shining the light on the

unsung gems of the past

maybe not unsung

because people who loved real music

in the 80s probably owned most of it

MiMi is a true 80s lovergirl

What's the drama over Soul?

Some guy is posting on her wall, calling her a "fraud",a liar and other names. He's pissed because she's touring with the Mary Jane Girls, pretending that she's the original lead singer. He claims that he's writing a book on Rick James and will expose everything.I'm surprised that she hasn't deleted these comments from her page, lol.
