I think the extra big head and long weave is messing up her look. Maybe add back 7 pounds and change the hairstyle so that she doesn't look so lollipopish.
If she keeps it up she gonna look like the new black Barbie doll. |

I think SHE feels better about herself and I don't think her weight loss is unhealthy, so based on that I'd say she's fine. I agree with someone who said, she may not have been obese, but she was overweight. Often when people become accustomed to seeing people bigger, they are critical when they lose quite a bit of weight. [And I guess your head does LOOK bigger when your body is smaller!] Oh, and chocolate1, I hate those shoes, too! Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

Oh i agree. she wasn't fat, just morbidly obese.

Exactly. Nearly 80% of African American women are overweight or obese. This needs to stop being celebrated in our community. Kudos to Hudson for getting her health together. And she is in no way too thin. She now just has a reasonable BMI and has greately reduced her risk factors |

If its for health then its all good, health comes first, but if its for marketing and career first then its not good. There are huge differences in what people think are obese and what is just full figured, people say Jessica Simpson is fat? they said Katharine Mcphee was chunky and now she dropped weight, and she has had a history of insecurities with weight issues, the same can be said of Jennifer Love Hewitt, remember the incident of her on vacation in a bikini and the magazine running the photos calling her fat, i mean they say Kim Kardashian is overweight. Now i know there are issues here with being overwieght and that age old thing of Hollywood images are blonde blue eyed and skinny.

We know this is a bad picture of Star, but it really doesn't have to do with her weight loss. It's just a bad picture. I think it's a shame that some people would rather see her as big and unhealthy as she was. She can't win (and neither can Jennifer): FAT, she's criticized, SLIM, she's criticized. It's one of those things that the person needs to try to ignore. Whatever the reason they had for the weight loss, they are both better off health-wise. Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

See, I think Jessica and the rest look great and that would be a healthy looking weight for Hudson. Sorry folks, she just looks too thin to me to be attractive. And I am not advocating for her to be "soft" or chubby. She just went too far IMHO and now looks just as unhealthy as the bulk of the celebrities out there perpetrating an unrealistic "thin" look.

I agree. I'm not hating because she lost weight, I just feel that she didn't have to lose as much as she did. You can still be a size 10 and be sexy. It's all about confidence and how you carry yourself too. I've seen a size 20 woman have more confidence in herself than a woman who is a size 2. If Jennifer's happy with her size, then so be it, more power to her, but I just don't believe in compromising my look to conform to the standards of today's obsession with being "thin". Just sayin'. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

Um....who the hell thought she was obese before? You out ya damn mind if you thought that was obese. She is 5'9 and big boned for crying out loud. These weight ranges need to be modified and we need to stop throwing the word obese around and applying it to anyone who isn't the standard size 6 or 125 pounds. Jen was big before but by no means obese. One has to account for height and frame. Reportedly she weighs 140 now but I bet you most folk don't think 140 pounds when they look at her.
Another thing that bugs me is when people call X-tina fat. That chile aint hardly fat. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

Wow she looks beautiful! She is not too thin by any means, but looks good the way she looks and I think she will gain some weight again some time anyway. I don't know how quick she lost it though. It is healthier to not be overweight, but it is not healthy to loose a lot of weight too quick and it is even worse to loose it, then gain it back, loose it again and so on like Janet jackson does for example. We don't know, if she confided in a doctor and he recommended that she loose some weight, for the benefit of her health. From what I understand, everyone in her family was chubby. She might have taken this into consideration and said, "I don't want to have to worry about getting sick due to this weight and I want to be here for my son". There is nothing wrong with that. The risk of heart disease and hypertension, is higher among blacks, than it is among whites. We die everyday from it. So, the fact that people are putting what she looks like, in front of the fact, that she is trying to become healthy, amazes me and shows me, that we have a LONG way to go. Let's just be real. Her weight loss wasn't about "health". It was purely image-driven. Hollywood has a way of doing that, especially to women, and especially to black women. Marsha Ambrosius did it for image. Raven Symone is doing it for image. And now Jordin Sparks is doing it for image. Hell, Monique even dropped a few pounds. The thing is, what a lot of these women don't realize is, it was their "every-woman look" that made them who they are and as popular as they were. After they lose that, they usualyl no longer have any flavor. I am Sir Nose, devoid of funk |

I noticed that. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the "skinny bitch hater" turned into a skinnier woman herself. Oprah lost weight for the same thing. None of the women mentioned had health issues, least none that were public (and if they do, they shouldn't make it public so I understand), but it does seem if you're a woman in the industry, being a certain weight is suddenly detrimental to your career. Ann Wilson used to get a lot of b.s. for being heavyset compared to her "blonde bombshell" sister Nancy. |

And I honestly believe that when some mention it was for "health" reasons, I think they're lying. It sounds a lot better to say "health reasons" than to say "Hollywood doesn't like fat women". And sometimes, it's their own insecurities that cause them to lose the weight. So some say it's "health" just to cover their tracks for the real reason.

So, there can't be an acception to the rule? Yes, there are those who do it for imagine reasons. But, you can't say the same is true for her, everyone is different. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth" |

It's my firm belief that most simply use the ole "health reasons" to cover the REAL reason - pressure from Hollywood. And one of the reasons I believe that is, all of a sudden these women that have dropped all this weight just can't WAIT to be photographed in less clothing or skimpy clothing when they never came off as that type while heavy. Sure, one can say "Well, they feel more confident" and that may be true, but from my angle, it's the image that they're going for rather than the confidence or halth reasons.
