Britney Spears has confirmed she'll perform a "surprise" concert in Las Vegas Friday night at the Palms Casino Resort Rain Nightclub, which will be filmed for an upcoming MTV special.

"Looks like my little secret isn't a secret anymore. Whos coming to watch me take the stage TONIGHT at @RainLasVegas at @PalmsLasVegas? -Brit" she posted on Twitter Friday afternoon.

Her manager, Adam Leber, tweeted: #BritneySpearsPalms, which briefly became a Twitter trending topic.

She'll hit the stage twice: once at 8 p.m. Friday in a ticketed event, and again at midnight for a performance that will be open to the public. The "Jersey Shore's" Pauly D will DJ.

Spears' seventh studio album, Femme Fatale, arrives March 29.

Awesome. It looks like she's doing another MTV Special like the In The Zone era.

I’m a Britney fan but I wish she do she doesn’t need to continue imo I feel like she’s really not into it like she used to be but if she wants to keep putting out music I’m fine with it.

some are being a lil harsh on her

britney rain Britney Bombs With Vegas Performance (A Must See!)

Despite having much of the world rooting for her, Britney Spears proved her naysayers right last night after a shambolic showing at Vegas’ Rain Nightclub.

We previously published short snippets of her much-hyped performance; however, full performances have since emerged – and it has to be seen to be believed.

Oh Britney, Britney.

Stiff, limp, and lifeless, the performance underscored what we here at That Grape Juice have known for the longest. There really is no difference between Britney’s ability today and that which she infamously displayed at at the 2007 MTV VMA’s. None.

I literally felt like splashing engine oil at the screen. She clearly needed it. Robotic walking, aimless arm movements, and shocking lip-syncing (like really, Britney, not even a pre-record?). This is yet another case, point, example of how Spears simply cannot compete in the era of the Beyonce’s, GaGa’s, and even Rihanna’s (all of who, at the very least, sing live). For goodness sake, the girl sat down during the dance break! Like, really…

I’m all for doing what one loves, yet how viable is that when each time she hits the stage, she takes a huge dump on her legacy. Honestly, I struggle to see the incentive in allowing her to embarrass herself like this. It can’t (or should I say ’shouldn’t') be money; the woman’s earnings ensure her generations to come will be financially set. What’s more, she holds records which -thanks to the download era- are unlikely to ever be broken. Put simply, she’s done did it all. Such flaccid showings, however, will only serve to see her remembered as a shell-of-shell-of-a-shell of who she once was.

Sad.

Arnotts

I just watched the GMA ones and she did much better in those. Still obviously not 2004 quality but definitley filled with more energy.

Excatley my thoughts when i saw video's of the concert. I don't know what happened to her, she just stands there.

Yesterday they showed at a VMA from years ago...damn, so much energy.

Britney's selling point is her dancing...but when she doesn't do that, what's left?

i didn't really see the whole thing, i saw a snippet of till the world ends i know some of her fans were disapointed b/c it seems like she wasn't into it but she went through a lot in 2007 so i don't expect her to be the same energetic performer like in the early 2000's

The girl walked from one part of the stage to the other, lifted her arm and then walked back. lol

Me thinks Enrique Iglacias dropped the tour cause he is privy to something going on with Ms. Brit. Either a return to drugs or another mental breakdown or something...
