I wanted to say the same thing. I thought Sade turned down doing a song with Drake?

The Grammy's were trying 2 play catch up with them. They overlooked them for so many years. They only have 3.

BTW, I loved the single "Soldier of Love," but the album was pretty weak.

Defintely going and very, very excited. Who knows when Sade will be back in the States again. It could be a decade. Can't miss this opportunity.

Probably going in St. Louis, but possibly other location. John Legend is a nice opening act, but completely unnecessary.

He's just ordinary people. err

Sade & Jay-Z eh? I hope its not "so incredible" or that Sade is "in the building" or whatever. I could get into something along the lines of "Storm" the Jay-Z/Lenny Kravitz collabo. Plus Jay does sound nice with a real band behind him. Sounds hit or miss! Should be fun!

There still isn't a date in early July which hopefully means they will announce the band on the bill for Essence.

razz As much as I like Hov, I do NOT like him anywhere near that jam of a song. He's great with a band, yes, but I'm running a blank as to what he'd add to the song. I'm STOKED, though. Sade in the Chi...on my birth month?! excited I know what I want for my birthday.

Oh daaaad....batting eyes

I bought my tickets when they first went on sale last year. I never play Sade's latest album and still really not feeling John Legend for the opener. I'm glad he's pushing for better schools and teachers but I don't really need to hear him sing.

you're my best friend.

damn that Roger Davies is greedy! 2 new albums from Sade the past 11 years (one subpar) and already it's time for another compilation, on top of charging us all an arm, a leg, and a liver for these damn tickets? i don't know any other artist that can behave this way in the commercial marketplace. and still be playing 3 nights at staples center...

...she's just that fucking bomb. but damn...

...and yes, sade featuring jay z...."I never thought i'd see the day"

i respected the hell out of how she refused to do collaborations in the past. i guess no matter how classy of an artist or who you are in the pantheon of respected musicians, everyone has a price.

I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Yes, she received a grammy during the pre-show for "Soldier of Love" album. She wasn't there to receive it, but I was surprised as well. I love her track "Moon & the Sky", one of my favorites on that album. I don't think I would enjoy hearing Jay-Z on that track though, because I feel like he will ruin the beauty of the original version. You have to be in the mood to listen to Sade's music.

I'm thinking of going and buying 2 tickets. Let's define ridiculous.....

I'd really like to see her live. How BAD is it?

Also, anyone know the tracklisting for the new Ultimate Collection yet?

Everything I can find so far shows it as "coming shortly."

All I'll say is that the day after the Toronto onsale (back in early Fall, I think), I went to get tickets and I couldn't find anything below $100/seat in the nosebleed section. Lower section seats approached $200 and floor seats were in the $350+ neighborhood. confused

You may have better luck, depending on where you are.
