A highly sought Nirvana EP that was released only in Australia is getting a second run. The influential band’s Hormoaning EP will be reissued on Record Store Day, April 16th.
The 1992 release includes Nirvana’s covers of songs by Devo, The Vaselines and The Wipers, along with a couple of originals – “Aneurysm” and “Even in His Youth.”
The songs were recorded during a BBC session with DJ John Peel. It was originally sold during the band’s tour of Australia.
The new edition of Hormoaning will be limited to 6,000 copies at independent record stores.

I saw it in a vinyl store in Portland and almost bought it. I don't really collect vinyl though and I already have the songs digitally. Maybe I'll pick up the reissue. I do collect Nirvana stuff as they're one of my favorite bands. |

I have the Japanese CD version. I also have their first 7" on Sub Pop from 1988. I bought it off the record racks in Zed Records, Long Beach, CA. in 1988. | |
