David Lee Roth ~ Coconut Grove

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I had that EP. For me this song was a last lovely moment of David Lee Roth.

He may be a nutball but the guy has an undeniable spirit.

I still have it. I remember buying this and The Honeydrippers EP at the same time.

My best friend and I had a raging debate that summer - 1985 - who was better, the Honeydrippers, or the Firm? lol I was all Honeydrippers of course. I always hated Paul Rogers.
