ISLEY Brothers..CLASSIC.....Go Ernie!

Its unfortunate that when an artist has SO MANY hits, there are some that will be forgotten...lets remember/appreciate this Isley Classic with an UNFORGETTABLE solo by Master Ernest Isley...

Who Loves You Better

(btw, towards that end of the solo, Ernie makes his guitar sound kinda like an airplane(its a bending sound) what is that called..

I saw ERNIE ISLEY'S Facebook page and also saw that RONALD ISLEY is on Facebook and CHRIS JASPER just got on Twitter under his company's name (@GOLDCITYMUSIC).<img src=" />

ALSO, I saw that Rudolph Isley's daughter (Elizabeth Barkley) just wrote a book about her father...shocking, sad and scandalous...he beat all his kids with wooden boards INCLUDING younger brothers Marvin and Ernie! The book is called "One Isley Brothers Daughter" (www.oneIsleyBrothersdaughter.com). Pictures of the band are on the cover of the book.<img src=" />

I saw Ernie perform at the Experience Hendrix show last October. He was awesome. He told us a story about when Jimi lived with him and his family around the age of 15/16. Ernie is an amazing guitarist and I guess it didn't hurt having one of the masters living with him for a while.

Yes, Ernie is a fantastic guitar player but never really received the attention he deserved. He was pushed to the background when he toured with Ron, so he left after Ron went to jail, but recently agreed to do some additional dates with Ron performing as the Isley Brothers.

nod Yeah, I've always felt that Ernie was criminally slept on when it comes to all time guitar greats. I think that "Hope You Feel Better Love" is a good display of what he can do. cool

Great news. But yeah I think Ernie has always been underrated, and that's a crime that he is. He should be recognized as one of the greatest guitarists in music history.
