Yeah, I know Gaz started handing out 30 day bans starting last week for some shit, but I have no idea why I was part of the list, considering I RARELY post there and I haven't shared any material. A lot of fans are now anti MJJC because of this and Gaz's other actions from the past year "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I've been anti MJJC for years. I could care less about that site. That site can go to hell for all I care. Can't believe I wasted all those years posting there...

I used to be a frequent poster over on MJJC but after I was banned 30 days for just questioning the authenticity of some tracks on Michael, I said enough of this crap. This person "Gaz" needs to get another hobby. Besides, you could never have an intelligent coversation about music over there. That's why I joined here and enjoy it.
In regards to the songs that recently leaked, I haven't heard them yet. I am sure I will eventually. I have no faith in what the Estate is trying to do with his music. Not after the Michael album. I still think to this day that the best unreleased material was the music with Will.I.Am. But after seeing what the Estate has done to MJ's music, I completely agree and understand where Will is coming from with his stance on the unreleased material being released.

Hearing "I Am A Loser", I think the stuff Michael did with Brad Buxer should've been on the album instead of the Cascio tracks. The original demo to Hollywood Tonight sounds great too "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Hollywood Tonight is now #10 on the Billboard dance chart "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

If Michael Jackson wrote about 20 songs just with Brad buxer etc and working with other people at the same time including red one, will i am etc in the last few years from 2006 to 9, from 2001 to 2009 there must be easily 150 to 200 songs from that period maybe even more, so from his whole solo career how many can there be? Much more than most people expect I think
What does everyone else think? Come on you polaroids! lol

You're alone on that. "Slave to the Rhythm" is the BOSS.

Me too, if possible; great initiative!

I wasn't really feeling Slave To The Rhythm because it's sooooo.... Un-Michael but now I really like it I think the version we know and have heard isn't the original. I think that version was done either for "Michael" or for an upcoming album. I love the vocals and the song's story "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Welcome to the board, I don't like talking about music with mj board fans either, they can't look beyond him though he is the man. I don't listen to him everyday though I know him like the back of my hand and he means the world to me. I listen to tons of music that came out during the times he was active too. They are missing out, their loss. And nice to hear they still have retarded mods. I'm an ex MJJForum poster. [Edited 5/12/11 17:37pm]

Just listened to the snippets that leaked. I am the Loser sounds like it could be a really good song. Days in Gloucestershire is only one second long --Way too short to come up with anything there. Children of the World is sounds Okay. One thing I can tell with these snippets: They are only at the most 5 seconds long but you can tell it's Michael Jackson. Nothing like those Cascio tracks.
Why did the Estate insist on those Cascio tracks and not include more from Buxer, anything from Will.I.Am and Jerkins?
And that final mix of Another Day on the album sounds terrible. Like all of the energy is sucked out of it. The faster paced snippet that was originally leaked of that song sounded MUCH better. Will we ever get to hear the 1982 mix of Behind The Mask??
-It's just frustrating as a fan.

What was the point of leaking a ONE SECOND SNIPPET? that makes absolutely no sense "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

The music was definitely 2009-ish. The other parts were from a 1998 recording I heard. Who knows if we'll hear the 1998 original of it.

Michael once said he writes over 100 songs for one album. Im sure out of those 100, maybe about 20-30 are actually recorded while the others are left on the cutting room floor

I think anyone who thought that the Michael album would be wall to wall awesomeness was setting themselves up for a fall.
The Estate (and more importantly) Sony are playing the long game. They have 7 albums to produce, so if they are smart they will stretch out the A+ tracks (assuming there are some) and mix it with B-C tracks.
I hope to hear the snippets soon (hint hint anyone) and hope they are legit.
Too often, and now too easily it is possibly for fans to post something as a snippet of MJ or manipulate an actual track for other means (Keep Your Head Up with the Earth Song ending anyone?) "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
And of those 20-30 some may not be full versions. I know Michael told Ebony that when he records he does scat verses for melody and focuses on the hook of the chorus. If the hook stays fresh in his mind then he works further on it.
That said BAD was intended to be a triple album and Quincy mentioned that 36 songs were recorded - so take that for what you will. "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Rob, which is one of the guys who worked with MJ during the HIStory session said that a lot of songs weren't really recorded and that they were mostly grooves and clicks with MJ maybe humming or harmonizing a melody
Bad was scheduled to be a 2-Disc, not triple but yeah, even if he did finish the records he recorded, if it wasn't selected for the final track list, I doubt they mixed and mastered it anyway
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Bad two disc sounds more plausible, but I seem to remember hearing a triple somewhere. I could be confusing things though. "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
No worries, it's not like one exists or anything. I'd love to hear some Bad outtakes but Q said we won't be getting those
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Well here is another source mentioning 3-discs. lol - who knows. I knew I had heard it somewhere.
Taken from: http://www.vh1.com/news/a...hael.jhtml
Originally, Jackson had intended the follow-up to Thriller to be a triple-disc affair — he reportedly wrote something in the neighborhood of 60 songs for the album — but at Jones' insistence, he whittled the project down to just a single, hit-packed disc: the album that would become known as Bad. "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"
