Michael Jackson may no longer be with us, however a certain rapper is keen to keep the King of Pop’s memory alive – recently getting tattooed in his honour. Hint: The artist was recently set free from prison.

at the case. I want to have someone locked up already. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

^ Relax. The trial hasn't even fully started yet. They're still trying to round up twelve jurors last I checked.

I have no idea what you're insinuating, i have seen no P fan act hostile in such a way. They're just entertainers. Go check Prince vids on youtube to get insecure MJ fans flaming the comment section. Works both ways. As a hardcore Prince fan, i will react exactly how Prince reacted when he was asked why he performed it...."A good song is a good song." and that's all there is to it. He's never gone past his 80s work, though.... [Edited 4/18/11 6:03am] This Post is produced, arranged, composed and performed by WetDream

First off, the comment wasn't directed to all Prince fans. Hell, I'm a hardcore fan it was pretty much directed to the ones who still think it's 1985 and believe in that MJ/Prince rivalry crap
You've never seen a hardcore Prince fan act hostile towards Michael Jackson or the mention of him or his songs? I've seen it plenty of times in Music And More and this section of the Org
but you're right, it definitely works both ways. I've seen MJ fans flame the Org and I've seen Prince fans flame MJ videos. (MJ fans delete comments soon) Did you see the thread about Michael's Bad Tour band playing "It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night" during the show's interlude? it went from "Whoa, the band played a Prince song" to fans saying Michael planned it that way and bashing Michael in general. It's a ongoing cycle [Edited 4/18/11 15:49pm] "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

THATS what keeps this thread interesting to me, *NEW* footage or pictures.
All that other stuff can......uh.......yeah

wow...and you didn't have to use a picture. YOU FINALLY LEARNED TO USE YOUR WERDZ!

i happen to like the philisophical discussions the best... you can find footage or photos anywhere on michael fan sites, where you can (visually) ogle every aspect of him. photos of michael are a dime a dozen. but where else can you go for at-length discussions of his art, or the politics behind all of it? or where can you go to discuss the technical aspects of his art... things like the recording process?
personally, just seeing new photos or footage isn't that interesting to me on a forum, since i can go look at that stuff myself. i can go listen to to records at home. but there aren't too many places (in person or otherwise) where i can have in-depth discussions. that's the stuff i enjoy. but it's something i rarely do, since most people don't appear to be interested in that. (the one friend i really got to do this with on a regular basis transcended a couple of months ago).
i actually came to this specific forum thinking there WOULD be a constant stream of in-depth discussion. for the most part these days i just check to see if there is, and if there is not i just leave.
i did go to MJvault but there was nothing really there, and the few things i saw were not discussions about technical things like studio equipment or production techniques. it was more like 'what is your favourite song?
i would love to find a site like, say, a cross between 'democracy now!' or 'free speech radio news and gearslutz or something, except it's exclusively about michael's art and works. socio-political stuff mixed wih technique. does anyone know of something like this?
just my take on things... thanks.

The Vault needs more threads. I hope you continue to visit because we need more members and more discussions. How can I be a mod and not really be able to moderate over people? ^ I wonder why it's so quiet there though. MJStudent, you seriously need to reconsider. I always forget to go there myself lol

When it launched, the big problem was getting more members. Plus with discussion of the scandals, rumors, and non-music issues not really having much of place there, it's like a ghost town except for the usual posters I will be posting some threads that'll hopefully generate some interest
I launched the Youtube page and it has 289 subscribers with a over 100,000 views on our videos (I just checked and that surprised me) "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Oh for real? Wow. | |

it's saying the last posts pretty much were from 2009, and a couple from 2010. is that correct? is there something else i should be looking at? because i don't really see too many posts. the posts are usually by the person who posted it.
i just saw the youtube page though... i'll subscribe to that.

We couldn't access the forum for nearly half a year due to problems with the server "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Yeah I remembered trying to get on last year and couldn't. It kept saying "connecting" or "looking" (looking meaning it ain't ever gonna show up).

Well, here's an interesting twist.
As recently as yesterday, ALL i was hearing was "Heal The World Foundation is fake! Howard Mann is evil! Melissa Johnson too! The Estate is gonna destroy them! They are fraudulent!"
But today...
Very interesting. I wonder what down at the meeting. Mann and Johnson must have had an ace card up their sleeve somehow. |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Hmm... I think it has to do with Katherine's new lawyer...

MORE :
Yuck to Johnson still being in the picture, but at least the foundation is the estate's now.

Guess you have to end the situation somehow. But at least it's in the estate's name now. [Edited 4/19/11 11:40am]

interesting, i always thought that that song and Cool were related rhythmically along with Marvin gaye's Got To Give It Up where he taps on a bottle of orange juice being the granpa of them all. Also, interesting that P doesn't do much singing on the MJ covers even though this one would seem to be perfect for him.

You haven't liked some of the books about the recording process that have come out? Lots of anecdotes about that stuff and there is plenty of writing out there about his meaning, Dyson, Crouch, some great intellectuals have written things about him Pro and con. There is a book by some lady which I skimmed through which covers a lot of stuff like this, anyway give it time. He's already had better stuff written than elvis did right after his death. In fact, it took decades for similar info on Elvis to be written down.

The Estate denied it. Weitzman has just said that this never happened and a statement will soon be released. The Jacksons want in on the 20% of the Estate hence why they created HTW foundation, but the executors didn't fall for it. To sum up, since the executors' lawyer just denied ever saying such thing we can only assume "someone" within the Jacksons' camp just made this crap up...like Joe and Rowe did two days after Michael announced TII.

mann and johnson could never have an ace card. they would have to show that mj transferred ownership of his copyrights and trademarks to them, and there is no such evidence. supposedly, the estate gotten them to relinquish their claims to mj's name and likeness.
if, and this is a big if, the other rumors are true that the estate has agreed to restart htw, it will be under their control, not joe and randy's, so whatever the jacksons were hoping to do, they're not going to be able to do it.
if they were hoping to use this charity as a front to funnel money to themselves, they won't be able to. branca and mcclain will see to it that the money is used for a legit purpose. every dime collected will be accounted for, all directors on the board will be approved by them, and they will be paid, maybe, according to the terms set out by the estate.
of course, kat would never, ever admit that funneling money was the whole reason behind her insistence that the estate approve the charity.
so if the estate says they're going to take over and run it as a proper charity, like she and mann and johnson claimed it was, then how can she complain? it's quite clever on the estate's part, IF this is the case. [Edited 4/19/11 14:23pm] [Edited 4/19/11 14:33pm]
