RIP Mark.... incredible bass player. |

He was a demigod on bass guitar The first time I heard the bass line on "Slide" I swear goosebumps ran through my spine into my neck. He was deserving of more recognition in his career.

Being from Dayton, this hit home hard this morning. Between the Org and me, he got beat down in a crack house. It happens. Anyhow, this dude was the shit on da bass. Seriously. He stayed in his lane and you could not win in his lane. Do some Slave better than the Hansolor. Nope. Chokeville! Dude had the thumb and the slap and slide. He invented himself and stayed there. that's what Dayton dudes do. Upper persuasion for the lower invasion

JUST saw Mark a couple of weeks ago and he was cool as always..talked about hookin up and jammin'..now he's gone!WTF?! His albums were like gold if you were learning to play bass..I am glad that I was able to at least meet one of my influences and thank him for all he has done. We lost a great musician...RIP Bro. This picture may be from over 30 years ago, but this is how I remember Mark Adams. His music was a solid piece of the landscape of my youth, those basslines would send chills straight down your spine - Strong, monsterous bass licks. He was another Super-Funky Hero of mine, indeed. May he be resting peacefully.
