Any Tata Vega Fans Here? Her debut album "Full Speed Ahead" and "Totally Taga" will be reissued on CD next month. Most people probably know her from her amazing contributions to the "Color Purple" soundtrack. But her early Motown work never received much attention.

I have "Totally Tata", "Try My Love" and "Givin' All My Love".
The woman is indeed a beast of a vocalist. However, I don't think "Totally Tata" was her debut. She recorded couple of albums before it, as far as my recollections are concerned

Y'all need to check out "Whopper Bopper Show Stopper" from her 1978 album. There's no youtube video of it but it is downright funky as HELL! Andy is a four letter word.

Her 1978 album is by far my favourite... Too bad they didn't start off by releasing that one! Just like the white winged dove...
