I was surprised recently when I saw footage of this song. Guess who is playing percussion ? It should be easy to figure out.

Nobody guessed who played percussion? Hint, the band is from Northern California same as the percussionist.

I loved this song for years and had no idea either. There's footage out there of them on the Don Kirshner's Show from 1980, and when the camera cut to a girl percussionist for a hot second, I thought "Is that who I think it is?"..

this chick looks familiar. Low and behold i pulled out George Duke's Let It Go album and

she was on the inside sleeve jacket with George. She also has played for Mtume and

Lionel Richie.

Oh yeah Mtume and the Barkays were on a show with him in Columbia, SC that year.

The show was originally cancelled on a Saturday because Marvin was sick and they

moved it to the following Monday.
