am i the only Orger here who has this amazing album! ?

Produced by Daniel Johns & David Botrill...
with orchestral arrangements by Van Dyke Parks...the man who worked with The Beach Boys on the Pet Sounds album.....

big rock album,moving,emotional,& very illustrative.
When Daniel Johns was originally writing 4 the next Silverchair album after Neon Ballroom.....his writing was still coming from that dark place that the previous material had come from...
One day he realised that he wanted 2 make a positive album...& hit ERASE on the tape deck,.....a whole new lbum's worth of music was GONE.....& from then...began 2 write the album which was released last April in Australia,"Diorama".

"Without You" is my favourite on this album,"Across The Night" is unlike anything the 'Chair had done b4 this album.
i know this LP has not been big in the US...which is interesting,since while making the album,a label rep. from the States came down 2 Australia 2 check up on how it was going...& saying "well this & that wont work on on commercial radio in America".
Daniel Johns would rather sell no records & make an album he is proud of than make shit music & have it sell like hotcakes.

Something i very much admire about these 3 kids from Newcastle,NSW.

if u love big,beautiful Rock albums.....u will not b let down by this album which,while has recieved the respect & credit it deserves Down Under.....had not had the same impact overseas un4tun8ly.

I'm sorry to say that I have not given it proper listen as of yet. I plan to...after your post...I plan to 2morrow! I like Silverchair...not a huge fan..but I do enjoy them. And what I've heard I do like!

I saw them live many years ago when FROGSTOMP first came out...they played this little dive back home (AZ)...and they were great...first time I realized how young they were...

I'll post my personal experience with this album!

Nah the vocalist thinks hes the second coming of Kurt Cobain. Angst made marketable...a disgrace.

Josh this is my 1st Chair album and i love it!!

Without You made me but the album and think its great - shows the range of the band and what they can do.

And his girlfriend is way tooo cute...god id luv 2 be a popstar!!!
