lol Stevie has a lot of fun stuff like that on his records. And even on records he did for others like for Syreeta's "When Your Daddy's Not Around" off "Stevie Wonder Presents Syreeta" love that whole dialog. lol

Exactly. People never mention "Do I Do" and I'm always confused by that. That's probably always been one of my favorite Stevie Wonder songs, from when I heard it as a kid for the first time. That shit just makes me happy lol. I swear it's one of the best things he's ever done IMO.

I have never liked that song . . . sad

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Why ALL the time Stevie IS discussed it's only the Classic Period or songs between 1970 and 1984 (and post-1984 years are hardly discussed either)?

Here's some shit from the '60s, GET INTO IT:

  • I Was Made to Love Her
  • A Place in the Sun
  • Blowin' in the Wind
  • With a Child's Heart
  • Never Had a Dream Come True (released in early '70 but recorded in '69)

Seriously there is MORE. lol

Post-1984:

  • With Each Beat of My Heart
  • My Eyes Don't Cry
  • Upset Stomach
  • Gotta Have You
  • Cold Chill

Yeah man! Tell em. And his classic run should start with "where im comin from" not "music of my mind" imo! And then there's at least three underrated gems on each record since 1984 in my opinion. razz Blast them loud and you'll know!

*Never In Your Sun

*I Love You Too Much

*Spiritual Walkers

*Skeletons

*Cryin' Through The Night

* Dark N Lovely

*I Go Sailing

* Make Sure You're Sure

*Lighting Up The Candles

*Rain Your Love Down

*Taboo To Love

*I'm New

*Sweetest Somebody I Know

*Moon Blue

*My Love Is On Fire

^would make a great underrated gems record

I completely hear you both on that. But if we are strictly limiting ourselves to five tunes, it would be really hard to not focus on the golden era. Choosing five from that time frame alone is like choosing five of your all time favorite songs by anyone, never mind Stevie by himself. I mean I find myself not picking songs like Higher Ground because they are more "obvious choices", but that's easily one of my favorites songs ever written.

Post 84, my top five would be:

If You've Love Cannot Be Moved (I've never seen that song get much love around here, but it's probably my favorite song put on any Stevie album after Hotter Than July)

Taboo To Love

Lighting Up the Candles

Queen In The Black

Conversation Peace

(With a shout out to Gotta Have You, Edge of Eternity and I Love You Too Much)

From the 60

I already put Music Talk on my list. Simple and so groovy. "Just a little... bit... oF... DRUMS"!!!

I'll cheat lol and join Timmy with Never Had A Dream Come True Such a beautiful song

But I'll also had Until You Come Back To Me

Uptight

Yester - Me

I Was Made To Love Her

(Oops that's six)

Hey my friend

Apparently my spelling went on hiatus. "If You've Love"...

Any way so glad to hear you love that one too. It's just a perfect song to me. Strong message. Powerful rhythm. Great harmony and background vocals. Love everything about it.

Well, I agree, but I felt I should also mention it was his only album in years. lol
