ARK Music Factory, I wouldn't be surprised if some cases of inappropriate behavior comes out if there . And those owners, looks like a couple of pediphiles to me. its depressing what the music industy is today.

The reason why it's getting laughed at is that it sounds like a kid's attempt at writing a pop song while the production values are up to professional standards. That's what it is exactly. Had it been just a couple of kids making the music with garageband and shooting the video with their own cameras nobody outside their circle of friends would have paid any attention to it.

$2,000 isn't that much though, so maybe the company also put their own money into it as well. Perhaps the ridicule still works as a good reminder that even with something as flimsy as pop music you'll have to first learn the trade and not simply pay your way through.

Rebecca Black Under Police Protection After Death Threats

Rebecca Black, the teenage YouTube star who was dubbed the "worst singer in the world", has been placed under police protection after receiving two death threats. Rebecca Black's internet hit 'Friday' has been viewed over 110 million times online, attracting mainly criticism, reports the UK's Daily Mail.

The 13-year-old shot to fame after her heavily auto-tuned hit went viral within days of hitting the web. She has since received two death threats, one over the phone and another via email.

Anaheim California Police are now said to be keeping a watchful eye on the youngster. Black appeared on 'Good Morning America' last month following the first barrage of criticism, saying, "The worst thing I've read was I hope you cut yourself and I hope you get an eating disorder so you'll look pretty, and I hope you go cut and die", adding, "When I first saw all these nasty comments I did cry. I felt like this was my fault and I shouldn't have done this and this is all because of me. Now I don't feel that way". The singer's mother paid $2000 to the boutique record label 'Ark Music Factory' to the have the now infamous song and video produced. Black has reportedly earned somewhere in the region of $20,000 through YouTube's revenue sharing plan, as well as "thousands of dollars" from iTunes sales.

The hit Fox series Glee recently announced that it would be performing Rebecca Black's viral hit on a forthcoming episode of the show.

Ya know, at some point middle america (and the execs in the industry) are gonna realize that what made Rebecca Black's video so funny is exactly what keeps perpetuating the video and why she will never be more than who she is right now.

Eventually, they're going to realize that we're laughing AT them. Not with them.

Definitely pop fluff, but not as bad. Perhaps the portrayal of teenage sexuality is a bit nerving to some on that one, but it didn't really stop Britney Spears from becoming famous either.

Now this song and video just leaves you bereft of any hope for the music industry.

It's bad, certainly. Not joke bad...but irritatingly bad.
