well she had something! My aunt had breast cancer last year and chemo/radiation and lost mad weight. Aretha looks exactly the same as my aunt does now. |

Why is she doing interviews if she's not going to answer anyone's questions? "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu |

Because she's being Aretha. She's enjoying the attention. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Look folks, somebody got paid to leak the original "cancer" story. You think someone thought "pancreatic cancer" out of their arse? Anyone who has experienced someone going through cancer has experienced "fight mode" and Ms. Franklin is showing some serious symptons of that. Am I confident that that's the situation? No, but from a medical standpoint, it seems the logical conclusion Knowing her health condition (and the ramifications of a lawsuit) no sane doctor would undertake any kind of weight loss surgery unless she lost a good 100 pounds prior to the surgery. That's part of the physcological requirements that doctors require.
Now, of course she could have found a loony MJ doctor to do it but wouldnt the initial "leaks" been about surgery and not cancer? Just saying.... Space for sale... |

Not true. I personally have known more than 10 people who have had weight loss surgery. I had one myself. I know SEVERAL people who weighed... I would say 400 pounds or close to it. The requirements of weight loss prior to the surgery was something like, 20 - 30 pounds. Certainly not 100.
If they could lose 100 pound prior to surgery, there would be no need for the surgery... they could theoretically lose 100 more using the same strategies. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack |

Age, heart and weight factor in on it. Aretha aint no spring chicken and hasn't she had health problems in the past? I know all circumstances aren't the same and I am not a doctor...it's just, well, Aretha's "situation" as far as weight and health appear to me to have been far worse than my family member.
